Jamie, sweet Jesus, you keep giving us gold. 😂 A man with criminal convictions for unlawful processions and obstructing roads, comparing two women attending police interviews to John Gotti and the New York Mafia. Let's remember, Jamie, you were convicted and received a suspended prison sentence. O'Neill and McDonald haven't been convicted of anything arising from Garvaghy Road. And since you've introduced John Gotti, thank you for opening that door. You, pal, can absolutely NOT talk about gangsters, given your penchant for mingling with loyalists with questionable backgrounds and serious convictions This is coming from the very same fella who publicly described the actions of the UVF and UDA during the Troubles as “counter terrorism”. Counter terrorism, Jamie? FFS Seriously? The UVF murdered innocent Catholics, carried out the Dublin and Monaghan bombings, the Miami Showband massacre and the Loughinisland massacre. Men, women and children murdered, yet you found a way to describe that organisation's actions as “counter terrorism”. And now you're comparing two elected politicians attending police interviews to the Mafia? What exactly separates the gangsterism of the Mafia from the murder, intimidation, and organised criminality associated with the people you idolise in loyalist paramilitaries? Why does one provoke your outrage while the other gets dressed up in the language of "defending communities"? You don't get to condemn the criminality of your political opponents while sanitising and glorifying the history of armed loyalist terrorist organisations. Yet here you are again, invoking the Mafia, demanding the removal of a First Minister and presenting yourself as some great defender of law and order. Spare us the John Gotti lectures. You can't spend your days screaming about Sinn Féin, Nationalists and the IRA while dressing up the UVF's murderous history as “counter-terrorism”. That's not a principled stand against gangsterism. That's selective outrage with a loyalist sash thrown over it. That's the question your John Gotti bullshite conveniently avoids.

🚨🇬🇧 Turning Point UK's CEO was filmed offering an undercover reporter a menu of beatings, stabbings and killings through a Glasgow contact who says he arms the UVF Al Jazeera’s undercover operation started in 2021 when a reporter joined the British offshoot of the American student group. Its CEO Jack Ross, a Conservative candidate in 2023, introduced the reporter to Allan Nesbitt, a convicted criminal and self-described UVF member, agreed on camera to pay him to stage a fake pro-Zimbabwe rally, and priced out what Nesbitt’s friends could do to a person, from cutting faces to MURDER. The UVF is the Ulster Volunteer Force, a Protestant loyalist paramilitary from Northern Ireland’s Troubles that killed over 500 people between 1966 and 1999, including 33 in one day in the Dublin and Monaghan bombings, and is still banned as a terror group. Since the peace deal it has run mostly as a drug gang that kept the name and the guns. Nesbitt reportedly met the reporter in a London hotel, offered to have a fictional business rival “finished,” claimed he’d personally stabbed a man to death, showed a shotgun and pistol on a video call and said the fee would buy weapons smuggled from Scotland into Northern Ireland. Ross says it was a joke. The joke came with a price list, a weapons demo and a smuggling route, and the police now have a name and a video... and wasn't particularly funny. Somebody in Turning Point UK’s donor base should be asking when the fundraising dinners turned into this. Source: Al Jazeera / Writer: Daniel

Ireland has a long tradition of being neutral country. A central component of our Neutrality as stated by Michael Martin in 2013 is the triple lock. #ReferendumNow #GiveUsOurSay #TripleLock – at Fingal, Ireland
Micheál Martin has finally met his toughest opponent on the triple lock: Micheál Martin. Well, he did invite us to go back over his record
