"I don't mind trans people, I just don't want their existence shoved down my throat" Brother, it's conservatives shoving trans people down your throat. They can't shut the fuck up about them. It's every political podcast, rally, and advertisement. It's all they think about.

I don’t want a city on Mars. I don’t want AI in every app. I don’t want data centres in space. I don’t want humanoids or flying cars. I want clean water. I want a stable climate. I want bees to survive. And a habitable planet.

Your party literally did exactly that
An important response from Julian Jessop. As the next election approaches, we will see self-proclaimed “fact-checkers” pop up to undermine any good news about the UK economy. Rigorous analysis, as shown here, is vital for separating fact from fiction.

After sleeping on it, I feel confident saying The Game Awards is a joke in its current state. Pardon my novel in advance, but I have to get it off my chest. 🙏 It's blatantly self-serving to specific parties, the best example being Geoff himself. Seeing Hideo Kojima talking about OD for 10 minutes with nothing to show for it while Larian gets told to wrap it up as they share the losses they experienced or the impact their characters had on players on the way to making a generational video game is a disgrace. That inherent bias isn't the only issue. This show is vying so hard for Hollywood approval which makes *absolutely no sense* with how much money gaming makes. Why are we having muppets and actors with busted legs just soaking up stage time indulging in stuff that no one in gaming remotely cares about? If anything, this show should serve as a trailblazer to elevate games above the film industry and be the example to follow. Instead, we continue to try to appeal to a demographic while forgetting the core group that got gaming to the spot it is in. Gaming has its own superstars in its developers. Leaders from Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo should be plastered all over this. Popular developers from across over the globe should be here. Why aren't they the ones representing with meaningful stage time? And last, but definitely not least, parts of the voting committee are not as invested as they should be. That part of the conversation has come and gone for many, but the blatant inaccuracy of nominees like best independent game is unacceptable. Simply put: It's a marketing show that "takes in feedback annually," yet misses the mark so consistently. It's mere appeasement time in and time out because the numbers they get are gangbusters, the show is jam packed with ads, and money talks. I don't anticipate a meaningful change next year, or ever. It's too corporate and too much of a money maker. A complete overhaul of the system would be required from voting to presenting and I don't see a business reason as to why they'd do this.

Two and a half years ago we reported a leak in our living room roof to our landlord. This is what we are obligated to do via our rental agreement and he is, both morally and legally, obligated to sort it. He did nothing. In March of this year, the ceiling collapsed. 1/x
