DeForest Buckner has been traded to the San Francisco 49ers..
We're incredibly happy for him and he was an unbelievable player for the Indianapolis Colts

Plenty of Cap space and a decent number of picks. I feel like there should be plenty of interest in the Colts GM spot.
And I’m perfectly okay with that. Steichen has made a lot of very questionable decisions but at the end of the day he wasn’t given much to work with. We know we’re not going to be competing for a championship next year anyway no need to rush a new HC hire unless it’s a home run
Mark this down for future reference. As long as Carlie Irsay-Gordon is calling the shots for the #Colts, they'll never hire a GM and head coach in the same year.
If Ballard isn't back in 2027, Steichen will be.

For all you have done for the community and the team, thank you @DeForestBuckner 💙

Just thinking out loud. I've seen some folks saying Jonathan Taylor should be a player Carlie Irsay-Gordon builds around next year. He's a top-5 RB who's suffered w/mediocre team. But he'll be 28 next season w/300 more carries on his body. To me, that's not a building block.

The message is "I have had enough of this regime, roster, and losing. Now, I am going to do something about it." Carlie Irsay-Gordon
10 games to go - YOU play in the AFC South???
What type of message is this sending to the team and your fanbase for the next 10 weeks? 🤯

Those of us that had to watch Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, Jeff Saturday, and Gary Brackett cut in the same week are built for this🫡
If you’re not ready for the rough waters of a serious rebuild, now is the time to jump ship.
This shit ain’t for the weak!! #Colts #RebuildTheShoe

Fans don’t get to yell “FIRE SALE!” and then complain about the returns.
Colts are trading from a position of weakness, with a deadline approaching. You accrue as many assets as you can, and prepare for a rebuild.

Not sure I've ever seen a team trade its offensive and defensive cornerstones in a SINGLE day. What a wild few hours. I'm not sure people outside Indy truly understand the gravity of all this. Man.

Not objective on this one. Buck has given his heart, soul and body to the Colts since 2020. He absolutely deserved to be traded to a contender. He's 32 and doesn't have a ton of playing time left. Good for Buck.

I honestly feel a lot of optimism about the future. Carlie knows this team is nowhere close to competing and we’re finally being proactive versus reactive. Keep it going #ResetTheShoe
