If you were having coffee with me, I would ask if the rapture has happened and we are the leftovers who never got the memo and that's why we are here experiencing extreme weather from heatwaves to dry spells and hailstorms? ☕ becomingthemuse.net/2026/10/…

"Imagine describing a dog to someone who’s never seen one before and then asking them to draw it. They might get some things right, you know, but there’s no way they’d get everything right. You know, the devil’s in the details."

"If you had a daughter, how would you teach her self esteem?" A difficult question especially for us who were raised to believe that self worth is measured by what we own and what we achieve yet real esteem is knowing that you are still worthy, valuable even without achievements.

Honest Mukwenya launched his book "All We've Is Now" on 29 August 2026. Grateful that I was part of the panel discussion - hats of to the Moderator Mr Just Ice Mayibongwe. The eloquent Speaker Extraordinaire Donell Munjeri and Tonotenda Mukarati were also part of it. Congrats Honest 👏 👏 👏

The meaning of the poem is that old wisdom remains, true love feels undeserved so one screams it at sunset. The poem is for my last chapter of my developing story The Prices of Love. wwwwhubofwords.wordpress.com…

Good morning to everyone who lives rent-free in my phone. Except homophobes, misogynists & paedophiles. Please remember to be kinder to yourself today. If you need to start all over again, please do. It may not be easy but just do it. Trust your gut always. Best Wishes, Landlord

Shorthand aside 🤣😅 I still struggle with the concept of the "Like" on social media platforms.... At least Facebook updated it to include several different reactions.

When I read Hlomu the Wife for the first time, to me, she was the epitome of powerful and perfect, albeit flawed. But then enter Zandile. She ruined my perspective of Hlomu🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣she made her out to seem like a drunkard with scruffy hair, and no sense whatsoever🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm embarrassed to say, I haven't been to Binga yet 🙈
This is Binga. Everything they told you about the place being interesting was true. We really enjoyed that one and we can’t wait to do it again!! #TripsByPamushana

Where it all began. Doing a yoga asana on a boat on Lake Naivasha, Kenya. This is where I wrote the story "An Elegy for Easterly", at the Caine Prize Workshop 2007. A year later I was published!! Photographed from a (great) distance by lovely Darrel Bristol-Bovey @dbbovey

On this TL, I celebrate black women and their achievements, whether big or small. To the black women: I see you. I celebrate you. I want you to celebrate yourself. You matter. You are special. You rock. ❤️❤️❤️
