I'll be the first to say Luka complains WAY to much. But to act like he is the only player to do so is ridiculous.
The vast majority of the league complains too much.
Luka has actually been a lot better this year imo

For what it's worth, the Lakers have had the third-best transition defense in the league so far this season.
On top of that, it's been the best transition defense Luka has ever been a part of (on-court possessions), both in terms of PPP allowed and the fewest % of possessions where the other team has a man advantage.
Whether this is more effort from Luka getting back, better insulation from the rest of the roster, or just randomness remains to be seen. That said, it hasn't been an issue for the Lakers so far.

I hat this in my early data signals column earlier today… Lakers have been a top 5 transition team so far on both sides of the ball, but I guess this doesn’t make good podcast content.
