My younger brother Bobby took his own life tonight. He was 34 years old. He leaves behind a wife and two young children. Please pray for his soul, his family, and me. This is the worst pain ive ever been in.

Is there an instance where the diaspora is LESS woke than the native population?

Pray fervently for this child and all the children at the PICU and NICU.
One of the infants fighting sepsis from pneumonia opened his eyes for the first time during my reading. They are all going to make it.

Family Channel in Canada freaking loved this show. It aired re-runs for like 8 years after it's cancellation. (I ain't complaining though, Recess is awesome).
Recess, a Disney Channel show which has been on the air since 1997, ends.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Recess aired on ABC, not Disney Channel. It did not debut on Disney Channel until 2003, which is the future, as far as this account is concerned. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_R… recess.fandom.com/wiki/Recess#Re…

"1,000,000 per year was too much, but 750,000? Yup thats perfect." CPC the door has been kicked open.
“The government says its 2027-2029 immigration levels plan will admit 380,000 permanent residents and 370,000 temporary residents each year.” What the fuck.

G2 is so diverse they don't allow you to publicly be Catholic. Almost like "diverse" is some kind of code, eh?

abortion will always be the main issue, especially for women, because we've basically removed permanence from our lives. nothing is eternal anymore you have no-fault divorce and can leave your marriage for any or no reason at all, you can quit your job and just stop showing up, you can drop out and stay in your mom's basement but you can't get pregnant and just quit. not unless you're allowed to kill your child our entire feminized society is built around the idea that you should be allowed to leave any commitment and that you should never have to accept consequences for your choices and now even biological responsibility is seen as a form of oppression
I have kinda accepted that abortion will always be popular and supported, no matter how rational the arguments against it are. I realized it's not about logic, its priorities. Modern society genuinely, wholeheartedly believes killing children is a fair price to pay to not go-

If you believe in Christ, you are freed from Millennials. You settle your accounts with Christ Himself than with HR. You forgive because it is as Christ commands. Or you're judged for your insincerity. You never ever need worry if someone scored some free 'closure' off you.
This scene is being used out of context (which is sadly very typical with Bojack Horseman these days). It was not telling people they can't nor shouldn't forgive others. Anyone who actually watches the scene knows what's wrong, because Herb spells it all out. The whole point is that Bojack's apology wasn't sincere, and there's no point in forgiving someone who doesn't regret what they did and isn't trying to change. Bojack knew he had messed up the moment he stabbed Herb in the back and had two decades to reach out to Herb and possibly make things right, but he only apologized when Herb was on his deathbed because Bojack is a selfish coward. He won't put in the actual work or risk to be a good person, he just played one on TV. Bojack was looking for closure because it would make him feel good, not because it was the right thing to do, and if he had the chance, he would likely stab Herb in the back again. In fact, Herb doesn't know this, but Bojack completely screwed over another character, one of his closest friends, right before coming to visit Herb, and immediately after he leaves, he kisses an engaged woman which betrays two more of his friends. There's an argument to be made that the show has moments which justify and appeal to self-centered millennial mindsets, but this is not an example of that. To be fair though, assuming Twitter's translation is correct, the OP tweet this is responding to does imply it's right to just forever resent people.

When you lose young White men to the party that is dedicated to crushing White men as its core belief, you have some soul-searching to do.
Democrats won young white men tonight by 17 points, per CNN exits Trump won them *28 points* in 2024

DeSantis had so much momentum in 2024 with him successfully fighting off wokelibs, and even taking on Disney, but then for some reason the Right demanded Trump be put back in.
Governor DeSantis is too polite to say it, so I will: You should have nominated him in 2024, you blithering idiots.

I mean this is kind of cool but I also hate the concept of replacing original music in anime when dubbing so 🤷‍♂️

It's crazy because even if there were zero legal abortions, you're still in control of whether you get pregnant. Yet they're more concerned over abortion than actual issues which only the government and other actors have control over(immigration, the economy etc)
Women's obsession with abortion as a political issue is fascinating. Imagine men had abolishing child support as their number one priority.

Yes this was tried in the 18th century. It started a political movement called Everything That Has Happened Since Then
Has anyone done this same thing with Christianity or Islam or whatever, like purging it of all its supernatural elements to create a generic humanist philosophy separate from the religion itself? I think you could emerge with something nearly identical to western Buddhism.
