"We allocated that money and we stand by that commitment" - Emma Reynolds, Chief Secretary to the Treasury. Seems really confused
Confirmation in the Budget that £200m development funding offered to the Acorn carbon capture & storage project in northeast Scotland is withdrawn, replaced by possible loans or equity investment

Disgraceful decision. Billions of pounds being poured into the pockets of arms manufacturers and the corrupt leadership in Ukraine. This is vital taxpayers money being thrown down the black hole of the most corrupt and fascist nation in Europe. Give this to carers and nurses 😡
🚨 NEW: John Healey has announced Ukraine will receive £10bn in additional economic and military support "We called him this morning... he told us we made his day" #Budget

Were you taught this at school? James Erskine (Lord Grange) imprisoned his wife on St Kilda because she threatened to expose her husband and his associates involvement in the rise against the annexation of Scotland (Jacobite Rebellion) She was kept there for 13 yrs.

The Budget is in - but Chancellor John Healy didn’t mention whisky. The small print shows duties will rise again - @littlegrumpyG of the @ScotchWhiskySWA says the constant duty hikes are costing jobs and growth, and successive Chancellors are failing to listen to industry 1/2

“First British female Chancellor of the Exchequer in 800 years” say Healey about Reeves. “Britain” didn’t exist 800 years ago.

As we suspected, Reporting Scotland had zero in depth analysis of the budget and its impact on Scotland. The programme instead had a vox-pop. The betrayal of Acorn was glossed over as was gas standing charge being applied to unit cost and the real terms cut to our block grant.
Genuine question. Does BBC Scotland have an editor or reporter capable of understanding the complexities and detail of the budget? We can't think of a single person left at the station who is up to the task.

Nuclear power plant in England is years behind schedule and double original estimate. The original £20bn cost is now £47bn. Scottish taxpayers helping to pay for it.

BBC Scotland is so anti-SNP that even a demand from the SNP Govt for a review of the decision to scrap the BBC Scotland channel is stone last on the station's website.

Chancellor removes gas standing charges, as we argued when I was Chair if the Commons Energy Committee. But he has left electricity standing charges. Not a budget mindful of people in islands and rural areas, who have no gas option!

BBC Newscast journalist Adam Fleming goes out jogging with Labour Chancellor John Healy the day before his first Labour budget. The friendly best mates routine between the UK Labour Government and the MSM continues.

He has no intention of entering serious talks to end the conflict. This is a stand he takes in the knowledge that the Russians will not give up the Donbass or Crimea, and that he has Europe dancing on the end of a string. The result is London, Brussels and Bonn et al. -- from motives of Western imperialist illusions -- supplying him with an unending supply of money to continue what is now an exercise in enrichment for himself and his clique, and the needless slaughter of his own people. The only option available left to him is to embroil Europe and the US into direct conflict with Russia in a world war. Trump, to his credit, understands this and wants no part of it. Europe, on the other hand, is currently cursed by leaders for whom war with Russia has taken on the mantle of a crazed crusade. Zelensky not Putin is the real enemy of the Ukrainian people. He is the agent of Azov at home and NATO in Brussels. The result is his country being turned from a corrupt state into a failed one. These are the grim fruits of Maidan in 2014.
President Trump and I are on the same side when we speak about ending Russia’s war, but we see different instruments for achieving that goal. My philosophy is that Putin is a deeply Soviet person, both in his reality and mentality. We know it because my generation was born in the Soviet Union. When Putin is lying, we feel it. We were neighbors with the Russians for so many years. That's why I think we understand the Russians more clearly than the United States. The United States, considering global security, can discuss with the Russians different topics. But we understand the mentality of both Putin and the Russian people, their soldiers and civilians. When they are ready to do something, and when they fear Putin because they know they can be imprisoned. If they don’t go and kill Ukrainians, Putin will sanction them in his own way. Therefore, President Trump supported us on some topics, while on others we have different views. From an interview with The Sun. (1/3)

Classic BBC Radio Scotland 'interview ' with our First Minister on his business trip to India.."did you fly business class, how many people flew with you, were they in business class, how much did the trip cost" etc.etc. lmagine the Prime Minister being asked such questions.
