Thank you to the many business owners I heard from in Largs.
Despite the enormous challenges faced in recent days you were incredibly generous with your time.
And to Fairlie residents who showed me the damage on their doorstep. A stark reminder of the power of this storm.

🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham has announced five "everyday fixes" ahead of the Budget
1. Carer's Allowance will be changed so carers no longer lose their entire benefit when they earn over the limit - instead, their support will reduce by £1 for every extra £1 they earn
2. Import tariffs will be removed on more than 100 products, including baked beans, chocolate and gherkins, to save households up to £21 on their food shop a year
3. Tax-free mileage rates for workers using their own cars will be made permanent at 55p per mile for the first 10,000 miles, with the rate for additional miles rising from 25p to 35p
4. Parental pay will be extended to over 150,000 more parents a year, including self-employed fathers and partners
5. Hundreds more Post Office drop boxes will be rolled out to save people queueing at branches
Ach, I'm sure Andy will just make a guest appearance in Coronation Street when the bills go up, or turn up on celebrity Catchphrase when food prices rise again. It'll be great. He's just a normal guy. Totally one of us.

Reporting Scotland tonight claimed Michael Marra was "making a direct appeal" to the Labour Govt for Rosebank to be given the go ahead and an increase in bank levies. Labour revealed banks would face increased levies eleven days ago. Rosebank is hardly news either. Propaganda to make Marra appear influential.

Stephen Flynn struggles for answers as he's confronted by angry Scots shop owner thescottishsun.co.uk/news/16…
BBC in Scotland will essentially stop making any programmes about Scottish culture+art & will invest any BBC Licence Fee money raised in Scotland towards pro-UK Government programmes like BBC Reporting Scotland/BBC Scotcast/BBC Sunday Politics - those will always have £ resources

Saw her on the TV and whilst I feel bad for her that her business got flooded how on earth is it the Scottish governments fault ? Whose responsibility is it for the drains ( surely the council) THEN I saw her standing with prominent tories and the penny dropped .

Shocking the SNP whipped up this storm in the gulf stream and didn’t inform the people of Salcoates.

STV reporter Vanessa Taaffe tonight accused Stephen Flynn of paving over drains in Largs. Moronic doesn't begin to cover this so-called question. Victims of the storm deserve better than a cheap jibe designed to provoke a reaction from the transport minister. Do better STV.
STV News reporter Vanessa Taafft should take full responsibility for not informing viewers that shop owner Toni Dawson's attempts to politicise Storm damage is down to her being an ex-Tory Party candidate for the area. Doing the Tories dirty work, Vanessa? xitter.cf/msm_monitor/status/211…
Is @STVNews reporter Vanessa Taafft REALLY going to pretend she didn't know the Largs seafront shop owner Toni Dawson was a Tory Party candidate? Taafft's attacking SNP's Stephen Flynn re: blocked drains knowing he couldn't say anything other than 'sorry', is entirely political
