Beijing comprises 16 districts - some urban, some rural - & each district is itself further subdivided into subdistricts.
& for some daft reason, I've decided I want to visit each of these subdistricts.
It won't happen. It's stupid. But there's (probably) no harm in trying๐งต

Who is Jake Wallis Simons cheering on here?
It's Moshe Feiglin.
He just got elected on the government ticket.
Last year he said:
"Every child, every baby in Gaza is an enemy."
Jake knows exactly who this man is, by the way.
Forced myself out of the house for some fresh air but 3 days without seeing the sun has me feeling like a gremlin. How do the people in the far north with those 24h of darkness cope.

Check out this weirdo.
โIf Israel falls, Iโm afraid we are next.โ
While @AndrewRosindell claims extremists have โan agenda in Europeโ, @jon_trickett sees an โexpansionist Israelโ instead.

This is the anti-Netanyahu opposition leader touted as a kingmaker here.
All eyes on @AvigdorLiberman
If, as seems, Israeli Arabs vote en mass, neither side will be able to form a coalition without outside support from Arab parties.
The opposition to Netanyahu would be open to doing that, except for Lieberman, who says he wonโt rely on Arab parties.
If he breaks his promise, he wins it for the Opposition bloc. He can demand to be first prime minister in a rotation.
Or he could go back to his old boss Bibi if the Haredim are out, winning it for the Netanyahu camp. He's the wrecking ball.
Either way, Yvette could be kingmaker or king.
Day 3 (4?) & I'm somewhat on the mend but just absolutely knackered. Felt a bit better yesterday evening than I do this morning, which is quite annoying. And still feel very weak.
Also fell over yesterday while carrying some washing but that might just be because I'm stupid.
Dya know what, at the time I found that incredibly condescending. But I mean...I suppose it's pretty fun I can tell people I've seen a Ballon d'Or winner
When Tottenham Hotspur were beating Tranmere Rovers 6-0 in the FA Cup back in 2019, Mauricio Pottechino decided to bring Harry Kane off the bench.
Later, he explained that it was โTo show respect to people here so they could see an English iconโ.
Harry Kane is now officially a Ballon Dโor winner.

Steve Bell was sacked by The Guardian over this cartoon of Benjamin Netanyahu.
Just in: IPSO has refused to investigate the Telegraph cartoon of Mothin Ali, the Green Party's Muslim deputy leader, grinning over a knife and fork at the severed head of Zack Polanski, its Jewish leader, who is drawn with a hooked nose. Nearly 1,200 of you complained.
IPSO's reason: the cartoon is about two individuals, so only Mothin and Zack can complain. How racist the drawing is doesn't come into it.
IPSO did not have to do this, and it has done the opposite before.
IPSO's rules let it take up a complaint from people other than the person written about, when the breach is significant, and there is a substantial public interest in looking at it.
In July 2023 it used that power. It ruled that Jeremy Clarkson's Sun column about the Duchess of Sussex was sexist, after complaints from two women's charities, the Fawcett Society and the WILDE Foundation. The Duchess did not complain.
The Telegraph's editor, Chris Evans, chairs the committee that writes the Editors' Code, which is the rulebook IPSO enforces.
The Telegraph is still selling prints of the cartoon today.
IPSO's rule says it may take up a complaint like this, not that it must. So this was a choice.
Picture a school. One boy draws two classmates, a Muslim boy and a Jewish boy. He gives the Jewish boy a hooked nose and puts his head on a plate, and draws the Muslim boy about to eat it. He pins the picture to the noticeboard and sells copies at the gate.
A thousand pupils go to the head teacher. She tells them she can only act if the two boys in the picture come to her themselves.
So the picture stays on the board, and every Muslim and Jewish child in the school walks past it each morning. The boy who drew it learns he can do it again.
And the rulebook the head teacher is reading from was written by a committee his dad chairs.
Nobody would say that head teacher is protecting the children. She is protecting the boy who drew it.
That is what IPSO has done. It says it regulates the Telegraph, and it has just told nearly 1,200 people that a racist cartoon in a paper it regulates is not its business unless the two men drawn in it come and ask.

Found a Chinese antique seller specializing in vintage cigarette packaging, with some rare cigarette packs from the Cultural Revolution era (60s / 70s).
They feature slogans such as โThe Entire Country (Except Taiwan) Is a Sea of Red!โ
Eurgh I am sick. Really strange. I feel really weak, especially in my arms. My chest feels quite tight and cold & my brain is kinda foggy. What's the score, Twitter doctors? Kinda kicked in around 5pm yesterday. Very uncomfortable.

My family are from Jerusalem. They live under Israeli occupation in the West Bank and canโt return to the towns they originate from.
But the political correspondent at The Spectator can enter and travel without restrictions.
Is there a word for this?
