But surveillance video and the property owner, Arch Djabatey tell a different story. The 7News I-Team uncovered multiple discrepancies in the Department of Buildings’ records, including conflicting accounts of two inspections and the use of the same photograph in two separate inspection reports filed more than a month apart. THE FULL @7NewsDC I-TEAM INVESTIGATION DROPS MONDAY AT 5 PM When we offered DOB surveillance video that contradicted its account, the department declined to review it, saying, “No need exists to look at surveillance video.” DOB acknowledged reusing the photograph, saying it caused confusion and that procedures would be strengthened.
