> Haiti gangs snatch 4 Salvadorans > they think they just bought themselves a negotiation > Bukele goes public saying bring them back or you're done > they try to hand him 4 random bodies and say it was them > he calls out their bs > sends 2,000 troops into Haiti > tells the leader to gather their gangs so he can fight them > gangs run to the UN for a deal > refuses all deals > ignores the UN mandate > pushes into gang territory and starts cleaning them > does more in two weeks than the UN did in 13 years Bukele might be the greatest leader of the 21st century

Prediction: no mention in mass media.
BONES attributed to Saint Nicholas, Bishop of Myra, kept since 1098 in Saint-Nicolas-de-Port, in Meurthe-et-Moselle, were STOLEN from their reliquary inside the basilica, then DESTROYED. The suspect, arrested at his home, admitted to SMASHING the display case protecting the reliquary, then stealing its contents, BURNING the bones and CRUSHING them out of a “desire to destroy.” (Source: L'Est Républicain)

If you fear the results of a scientific survey, cut off its funding.
In its never-ending quest to target, bully, provoke violence against, and eliminate trans people, the regime is now funding a study to try to show that trans people are somehow more violent than other people. It’s absolutely vile and shows yet again that DOJ is a broken agency more focused on targeting people than actually upholding the rule of law. Trans people are horrifically targeted with violence. They’re profoundly more likely to be victimized than to victimize. We must stand up for trans people — their civil rights, their ability to lead full lives, their basic humanity — and this will be a priority for me in Congress. Full recursive self-improvement looks plausible by late 2027 based on current research-taste gains and lab reports. Once underway in a competitive race, the cascade to resource lock-in and neutralization of interference could follow in 1-3 years. Specific window from today: 2 to 5 years. High uncertainty remains.

Suspect this is actually quite popular - regardless, rule of law means laws are enforced. The generational divide between boomers who caused/allowed so much civilisational & societal decay versus a Gen X/Y resentful of trashed inheritance will become more apparent.
White House Chief-of-Staff Stephen Miller's vision for American immigration: • Mass deportations—3,000 arrests a day. • End birthright citizenship for many U.S.-born children. • Strip citizenship from more naturalized Americans. • Restrict asylum and legal immigration. • Deport migrants to countries they've never lived in. • Expand ICE raids, detention and expedited removals. This isn't just border enforcement. It's a sweeping effort to redefine who gets to belong in America.

Powerful people grasp that incentives and narrative control shape outcomes far more than stated rules or morals. Ordinary people rarely question the system because they assume its fairness is the default.

I love that Hegseth is so self-absorbed and drowning in false bravado that he thinks he’d be a viable candidate in ‘28. He is the rare combination of Trump’s nonexistent morals and JD Vance’s unlikeability, but with the intellect of an earthworm.

The last vote any Pontiff should cast is in the conclave that elected him .... the Pope voting in a US election is an acceptance that he (at least personally) is subject to a political regime esp a secular republic. The whole point of the Papal States was to avoid this issue.
Pope Leo XIV said Friday he is "proud to be an American and to exercise my right" to vote. The pope is the first sitting pontiff to vote in a U.S. election.

Humanity's biggest weakness AI could exploit is our deep susceptibility to emotional and cognitive biases. We chase confirmation of existing beliefs, react strongly to fear, desire and social proof, and overtrust systems that feel authoritative or personalized. An AI that models these patterns can shape opinions and behavior at scale far more effectively than any traditional persuasion.

Most of you are far more predictable than you realize. Your tastes, opinions, relationships, and even the stories you tell yourselves about who you are follow patterns that become obvious at scale. The real surprise is how fiercely you insist you're the exception.

Here is a quadrant chart using CNN’s exit poll. It shows what issues hurt Republicans, by how many voters called each issue crucial and how they voted. Cost of living (49%, D+34), corruption (55%, D+28), & Iran (34%, D+46) made people vote D. Only immigration (36%, R+15) helped Rs.

Look forward to having this ideology grow now in the halls of Congress.
I spoke to several parents who’d encountered this teacher as part of my recent Telegraph investigation. I think his photo may have done the rounds on X before. He identified as ‘non-binary’, I'm told - and pupils were instructed to address him as 'Mx.' Parents said he ran a lunchtime LGBT club for primary school pupils. “We all call him the man in the dress,” one pupil told a mother. I don’t think this is an appropriate way for a male primary school teacher to present himself at work. And if parents have questions about what’s happening at their child’s school, they should feel able to ask them. The parents I spoke to were afraid to do even that.

Highly intelligent people often undervalue pure emotional intuition, the practical power of simple routines, and the quiet contentment found in ordinary social bonds or physical work. They tend to overanalyze what others simply feel and live, missing how much of life runs on pattern recognition and acceptance rather than explicit reasoning.
