This year even though rain was less, DK Sandra lake is full and water quality is not good. We get foul smell due to more sewage inflow in that area. Better to close that entry with wall to arrest more sewage inflow. The other side we get good rain water in new wet land.

Since many years we are insisting for installation of steel wire mesh at Rajkalve water entrance to arrest plastic and other garbages entry into wet land of DK Sandra lake and not done. Lake water is getting polluted and since 3 months garbages are not removed

BBMP engineers are unable to install a simple steel mesh at #KothnurLake inlet to stop plastic & solid waste entering the lake.
Lake inhabitants suffer due to human negligence & official inaction both outside & inside lake.

Yes. Lakes are not parks or playground and they are bird’s nesting place. They have to settle down around 6.30 pm and due to lighting beyond 7 pm they are very much disturbed. About 50 varieties birds live including peacocks and they may migrate to nearby forests.

Yes very true. Enough parks are there with lighting and people can spend their time in parks after 7 pm without disturbing birds life in natural lakes. Kindly do not implement new proposed timings.

Now all rain waters from RWS mixes in Rajkalve which is full of sewage and cannot be diverted to lakes. At least by street recharging pits we can increase ground water level of that areas and naturally GW level will increase
