Left: Danny Kruger calls for more oil and gas
Right: Six years ago Danny Kruger supported net zero saying,
"Climate change is one of the greatest challenges we face, and I can assure you that I recognise the importance and urgency of action on this issue."
"Indeed, the threat of global warming has never been more apparent, as highlighted by the sobering conclusions of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s special report on global warming of 1.5C."
My view:
A striking change in emphasis: Danny Kruger once spoke of climate action as urgent. Now he’s calling for more oil and gas exploration.
His own words show how much his position has shifted.

Scotland just delivered one of the most powerful clean-energy statements in modern history. On multiple occasions, the country’s wind turbines generated around 200% of national electricity demand, producing far more power than Scotland itself needed.
It can be done!!!

33-year-old Alex Klinner died in Trump’s war back in March. But since, 7 months later, Trump still isn’t calling it a war — his widow and their three small KIDS (7-month-old twins and a 2-year-old son) are being denied basic benefits.
Because those are only available to soldiers who die in WARS — not “excursions.”
I don’t ever want to hear from another Republican that their party “supports our troops.” You send them off to die, then desert them when they do.

It cannot be stated often enough or vociferously enough: The Trump administration is helping Russia to conquer Ukraine. The United States of America has taken the side of an aggressor against its innocent victim. We are helping our actual enemies as they prey upon us and our friends. This policy reversal from both the Biden administration and the first Trump administration is a shameful abandonment of principle and of self-interest.

Tomorrow, when you see the front pages of the right-wing press telling you how dreadful the budget was, remember their track record.
Also remember that right-wingers won’t ever be happy with any budget that doesn’t push down on those at the bottom to benefit those at the top.
