We once had this patient during my HJ, she had 4 girls already and had just delivered triplets. They were preterm hence needed incubation. When the husband found out only one of the 3 was a boy, he only agreed for that one to be incubated and told us to throw the girls away… 1/2
I had a man who kept asking me “Wetin she born?” anytime I stepped out of the labor ward.
When the wife delivered, she wanted to see the sex immediately and she was shown. I’ve never seen someone break out in tears like that. She kept saying “my marriage is over, I don finish.”
The matron went out to tell him and show him the sex, this man angrily walked away.
Until I left that posting, nobody came to help that woman with hospital bills or food unless goods Samaritans.
