Abdominal pain as a presenting complaint is an interesting puzzle.

But in short, have a look at this paragraph from Council of Foreign Relations' education series on fascism (they credible journal and news source for global political affairs). The series uses Mussolini and Hitler as the primary examplea of pure fascism:

We have a government that lies to protect us from the truth which is very dangerous
Thanks to these third-country agreements, we have been able to deport some of the worst criminal illegal aliens from the United States, including those who are so barbaric that even their home countries won’t take them back. For far too long, illegal aliens ordered removed by a judge have avoided deportation simply because @DHSgov had no place to send them. Through engaging in fully legal third-country removals, the days of avoiding deportation are over. We will continue to use every tool at our disposal to make America safe again. The Trump Administration will NEVER apologize for putting the American people first and deporting dangerous criminals from our country.

One year after the hurricane the Govt is on a PR blitz to hide their negligence and lack of care for the hurricane victims. All those announcements of cutting costs one year after Melissa is just PR.

She didn't bring this online. It was brought online by someone else and she's defending her name. As she probably should.

Y'all are going to start asking questions, like how come all the other jobs in the agency comply with the Government salary bands, but the CEO didn't.

COMMENTARY: Still business as usual, PM? The revelation is staggering! Jamaica's Information Minister Senator Dr Dana Morris Dixon says Prime Minister @AndrewHolnessJM learned "after the fact" about the controversial J$115 million a year rent for the downtown Kingston waterfront office space for the National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority (NaRRA). It means that someone, somewhere committed Jamaica to half a billion dollars over five years to rent office spaces to direct reconstruction after Hurricane Melissa without the responsible minister having a say. And this is against the backdrop of a governance structure that does not provide for a traditional board of directors to oversee NaRRA. That the NaRRA lease was not required to go through public procurement or Cabinet approval means the ultimate overseer was the responsible minister, who happens to be the Prime Minister. This development is yet the most glaring example why the government can no longer scoff at calls for a proper, lawful oversight body. To its credit, following public outrage over the high rental cost, the government announced that it would scale back NaRRA's office space from two floors to one, which would potentially slash the rental amount by up to half. However, the Government says the downsizing will slow the rollout of reconstruction projects. That is a whole other story for another time. But in the meantime, what will now change in relation to the decision-making processes for NaRRA? In the absence of a board, it cannot be business as usual for the "responsible minister". With so much on his plate, the Prime Minister still has space for a slice of humble pie to correct this deficiency.

My understanding is that the procurement guidelines are making recovery from the hurricane very difficult. Hence the need to create a government agency that doesn't have to follow procurement rules and can spend money will less red tape and required approvals.
I need someone with better understanding of the situation to explain to me why NaRRA needs to even exist, as opposed to retooling to scope and functionality of the already existing disaster preparedness and emergency management agency? Please? I can’t reconcile it so what am I missing

I don't know how anyone justifies the CEO of a temporary agency, one created to rebuild the lives of hurricane Melissa victims, drawing a 40 million basic salary. All from the same purse funding the recovery.
When nurses, doctors and teachers demand competitive salaries, they are chastised about patriotism & asked to be unreasonable but when old paper pushing party loyalist bureaucrats get a role all of a sudden we need first world salaries & benefits. This wreaks of govt corruption

🚨The Government's defence of the NaRRA CEO's J$40 million salary rests on "international benchmarking." But benchmarking a salary from a wealthy country against a developing country's GDP per capita is not benchmarking. It's cherry-picking. And the math exposes the flaw.
