October marks 25 years since British Armed Forces first deployed to Afghanistan. Mark, an Afghanistan veteran, now using crutches after sustaining a serious injury in combat. Behind him is a faded image of his younger self in desert camouflage, sunglasses on, still serving. The quote he shares is stark & immediate: one of his mates stood next to him & said, “I think you’ve been shot.” It is a quiet but powerful reminder of the sudden violence of war, the mates who looked out for each other & the injuries—visible & invisible—that many veterans carry long after they come home. “Remembering Afghanistan” is not just a slogan; it is a call to recognise ALL the people who served & the price they paid. #LestWeForget

Good Morning ❤️💕 This is the image of a 2015 ploughed-field tribute near Eye, Suffolk: named The Flying Fortress, the silhouette was honouring the US 490th Bomb Group & the 184 airmen who died from nearby Eye Airfield in 1944–45. It marked the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War It was created by locals under a former flight path & lasted about two months until the crops grew back. #WeWillNeverForget Enjoy your day ❤️💕
