These reports point to a serious escalation against Iranian territory.

Europe just said no to making Canada an "associate member." Germany, France and Greece pushed the label out before the Montreal summit even started.
Here's the thing: nobody voted on this.
No election platform. No debate in Parliament.
Just a PM who told a 2023 World Economic Forum panel:

Then, almost as an afterthought:

🇬🇧🇫🇷🇪🇸 Two wars later, Europe’s Big Oil’s refining margins have gone through the roof.
Shell hit a record $42 a barrel, up from $24 just 3 months earlier.
Its fuel-making and trading unit earned $3.86 billion in one quarter, more than 3 times what it made in ALL of 2025.
Repsol made $36.20 a barrel. A year ago? $8.80. TotalEnergies hit $33.20, up from $8.40.
That’s roughly 4 TIMES as much for both.
Norway’s Equinor saw its adjusted operating income nearly double, with a record quarter from its Mongstad refinery.
The wars with Iran and Ukraine have knocked a big chunk of the world’s refining capacity offline, so anyone still churning out diesel and jet fuel is cashing in.
Repsol expects margins to stay strong through 2027.
And the windfall is heading straight to shareholders: $5 billion in buybacks from Shell, €950 million from Repsol, $2.5 billion from TotalEnergies.
War is hell. Unless you’re a refiner. Then it’s just a record quarter.
