You cannot have a career in esports unless you are a radical leftist, or someone who holds left-wing ideals, or someone who orbits liberal spaces and adheres to their will, progressive signaling etc.. etc.. while either limiting your thoughts and speech or simply staying silent on things. And for those that do are outliers, and we're previously established beforehand, then broke off into their own spaces. The world works in generalities and this is one of them. I genuinely challenge anyone to change my mind on this. This is also my perspective as someone who was removed from an organization because of my views, and in a different organization their HR rep met with me 1 on 1 to discuss with me my views. My experience is one data point in that environment; and it does not require every single person in esports to be a radical leftist, but it does illustrate why I conclude that limiting speech or staying silent is what seems to be the requirement.. Finally, It works in the inverse as well. If you publicly state views that align with the left side of these issues, nobody is getting removed from organizations and nobody faces real consequences. Those positions are often praised or treated as the default. When criticism does appear, there is usually a large enough echo chamber to dismiss, attack, or shut down the dissenters rather than engage with them. The pattern is clear: left-aligned views face no professional risk and are often rewarded, while the opposite views are treated as grounds for removal. Change my mind.
