Should have asked how many asylum seekers she’d have lodge at her house!

The way bbc presented it on news this am was every motorist will be charged 55p per mile 😡
“Ok John, don’t forget tomorrow, it’s all about gherkins and marmalade! Don’t mention our money laundering through foreign aid or £190k each for the 4000 homeless, but you can screw the OAPs! Got it?”
“Yes boss, are we still flogging wind up radios?”
Well, I’d believe Ben Wallace he’s ex military and was my MP until he stood down, nice guy, honest MP (and not many of those).
God help us! 😡
😂 Nick Ferrari bursts out laughing as Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds is forced to sell the latest government gimmick live on @LBC
Reynolds looked thoroughly embarrassed as he tried to sell the plan to scrap import tariffs on a list of “everyday essentials”.
When Ferrari asked him which products were included and what the actual savings would be, Reynolds immediately started dampening expectations, sheepishly admitting these were “not huge reductions” before reeling off the list: baked beans, chocolate, gherkins…
That’s as far as he got. Ferrari could not contain himself and burst out laughing. 😭
Nick then pointed out that the Conservatives have called the projected saving of £21 per year “derisory”.
You could see Reynolds was mortified reading it out. Imagine the brief he opened this morning and realised he had to go on air and sell this to the public. 😬
What a farce. Even on the government’s own figures, this works out at roughly 40p a week for the average household. Forty pence a week. You lucky people.
Another pointless gimmick that will have zero material impact on people’s lives.

Handy Burn’em has announced huge spending to get homeless off the streets by Christmas further adding to outgoings on which UK plc isn’t even servicing the interest on loans. Bankruptcy pending!

I can’t listen to a fake solicitor telling us how good a £0.40 saving is!

Any further minimum wage rise will not only impact pubs but coffee shops, cafes, restaurants etc as I’ve noticed this years some are quieter than previously

Std state pension is half minimum wage also.

If the minimum wage increases so will the price of a pint by further pennies.

If the minimum wage increases again, so will the price of items in the shops! But don’t worry, they’ll still tell us we’re better off!
