Getting ready for @Hammersmithhead - Chief Marshal's tip #2 - dress for the conditions, it looks lovely out right now, but it's still cold and you will be on the water for some time:

Getting ready for @Hammersmithhead - Chief Marshal's tip #3 - when marshalling: close up to the crew ahead; stay in single file and keep the bow of your boat pointed into the bank (or the stream will turn you round)

Getting ready for @HammersmithHead - Chief Marshal's tip #1 - BE.ON.TIME. The rules require every crew to be in position 10 minutes before the start, that is by 1320, remember it can take longer than you think, the river will be busy and the stream is running strongly:

C19 has decimated charities’ fundraising opportunities due to lockdown. I was meant to run @LondonMarathon for @HeadwayUK . Instead this Saturday I'm going to try & break the British record for a marathon on a rowing machine. Please, please donate via bit.ly/3dPawoq
