I allowed my son to be circumcised 27 years ago, and cried over it, even though I didn't know any better! My daughter did not circumcise my grandson, thank God! It's a genital mutilation that we have been fooled into believing that it was for their own good! It was a lie!

Yesterday the United States withdrew from the World Health Organization (WHO) and I can’t say I’m altogether disappointed.
WHO’s insane defense of and promotion of male circumcision is immoral, particularly of infants and children. No study has proven a net benefit.

The circumcised penis loses sensitivity in three ways:
One: Loss of the foreskin nerves themselves when the foreskin is amputated.
Two: Damage to the glans. The erogenous sensitivity that remains after circumcision is primarily in the glans. This is further reduced by removal of the protective foreskin which leaves the glans permanently exposed. It becomes dry and hardened.
Three: Loss of skin mobility. The nerve endings in the glans are predominantly touch receptors, best stimulated by massage action. With a mobile skin system that rolls over the glans, this optimal stimulation of the glans is achieved while avoiding direct friction of the delicate glans surface. Direct friction tends to fire off pain receptors. With the skin system of the penis significantly reduced by circumcision, the mobility is gone and the penis becomes a static mass with no dynamic self stimulation mechanism.

There is no valid medical reason to remove the foreskin of a baby boy or any part of the genitalia of a baby girl. These are forms of mutilation that cause harm and trauma, and they have no place in a society that claims to value health, human rights, or bodily autonomy. The ancient Greeks were more forthright, academic and appreciative of the penis than we are 2,000 years later. They had distinct words for both the part of the foreskin that is fused to the glans from birth until often puberty (posthe) & the loose, fleshy overhang (acroposthion).
