There is something really concerning (and disappointing) going on in the US right now.
A dangerous and preventable situation.
Let me explain.

This is nuclear meltdown, ALL of the CEO's have quit the polar LNG project in Alaska because they learned that it was being secretly funded by Russia. Trump is a traitor not to just the Allied Nations but to his OWN country. How dare the U.S.A. talk about corruption or morality
Holy fucking shit! This must be STOPPED!!
"Polar LNG is an American company with a bald eagle and a flag on its website, promising that it “helps ensure the United States leads” and calling itself “America’s Arctic Advantage.”
Its plan is to liquefy natural gas on Alaska’s North Slope and ship it to Asia.
The New York Times found that at least some of its money came secretly from Novatek, a Russian energy giant under partial U.S. sanctions with close ties to Putin.
The man who ran the company said so. Joel Riddle, Polar LNG’s CEO until September, said he was told the startup money came from a company in the United Arab Emirates and later learned otherwise.
“It’s not only unlawful, but it’s not in the U.S. interest to have Russian technology controlling the commercialization of Arctic gas in the North Slope,” he said.
Novatek is no longer hiding it. The company told the Times on Friday that it’s moving to acquire “minority shareholder” status in the project: a sanctioned Russian firm openly seeking a stake in American gas production.
Putin discussed the project last month with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Trump’s envoys, as one of several energy deals the White House believes could smooth relations with Moscow and help end the war in Ukraine.
The Times found no indication Witkoff or Kushner knew about Polar LNG or its Novatek ties.
The sanctions that would block it carry a familiar name. The Graham Act specifically targets Novatek and its Arctic LNG 2 project because of the company’s ties to Putin. Trump waived those sanctions last week, calling it necessary to keep peace talks going.
Riddle didn’t leave quietly. He attached memos from the law firm Baker Botts to his resignation letter, noting that Treasury’s sanctions unit had already raised “potential Russia-related sanctions concerns” about the company’s Novatek ties.
At least two other top executives have also left, and Trump officials were warned about the secret Russian financing and urged to investigate. The Energy Department didn’t respond to the Times.
Polar LNG went after him. The company called Riddle a “disgruntled former employee,” said he was “terminated for cause,” and threatened litigation. Documents show he resigned six days before that termination letter, which cited, in part, his sanctions concerns.
“It is terrible on environmental grounds, it is a terrible idea on economic and geopolitical grounds, and most importantly this feeds the belief that Putin can get an out-of-jail-free card,” said Geoffrey Pyatt, a former State Department energy official.
Russian money in an American company, Russian technology on the Alaskan seabed, a Russian stake in American gas, discussed with Putin by the Trump’s envoys, and a sanctions waiver Trump signed weeks before an election."

October is “Vaccine Injury Awareness Month.” But what exactly are we being asked to recognize?
The observance began in 2010, created by vaccine opponents Sallie O. Elkordy and Marian Greene of Truth About Gardasil. It originated in activism surrounding alleged HPV vaccine injuries and was deliberately expanded to encompass all vaccines.
It is not a CDC, WHO, or federally established public-health awareness campaign.
Its origins matter. In a 2017 account, Elkordy explicitly described the movement’s mission as seeking to “BAN VACCINES.”
But here is where some important distinctions need to be made.
Vaccine injuries are real. Rare serious adverse reactions occur, are recognized in medical literature, and warrant investigation, treatment, and, where appropriate, compensation. The United States established a federal vaccine injury compensation system decades before this campaign existed.
What the existence of vaccine injuries does NOT establish is that every illness following vaccination was caused by the vaccine. Temporal association is not proof of causation. VAERS reports are safety signals requiring investigation, not confirmed injury counts.
People experiencing genuine adverse reactions deserve compassion, proper medical care, and serious scientific attention. They should never be dismissed merely because their experiences have become entangled in vaccine politics.
But neither should their suffering be used to promote exaggerated risks, unsupported causal claims, or wholesale opposition to vaccination.
Recognizing genuine vaccine injuries and defending evidence-based vaccination are entirely compatible positions.
Science demands both compassion and intellectual honesty. Neither should be sacrificed for an activist narrative.

🦧🦦 A Belgian zoo introduced a gang of otters to its orangutans to keep them from getting bored. And then all hell broke loose!
At Pairi Daiza Zoo in Belgium, staff came up with an unusual idea: let a family of Asian small-clawed otters share a habitat with the giant ginger orangutans.
And it turned out to be a brilliant idea! The little furry troublemakers started climbing out of the water, pestering the orangutans, and challenging them to play. And the orangutans happily joined in!
An orangutan named Ujian and his son Berani became especially close friends with the otters.
In 2020, photos of this adorable and unlikely friendship went viral around the world.

Now with the full return of measles to America we’ll need to find ways to protect infants 5-11 months not yet old enough to receive their first dose of MMR vaccine. In low income countries with lots of measles transmission they recommend a dose at 6 months and then again at 12 months and a third dose by age 5. We’re pretty much at that tipping point here’s my article @AnnalsofIM acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/…
Protect your baby from measles with 2 doses of measles vaccine.
1️⃣ In countries where measles is common, it is vital to give the first dose around 9 months of age; in other countries, at 12-15 months of age.
2️⃣ Give the second dose later in childhood to ensure full protection.
Remember: Infants can be vaccinated around 6 months of age if there is an outbreak or before travel to endemic countries.

Last month, Trump’s DHS asked its cyber division to try and a hack voting machines.
BUT:
-They directed them to NOT alert voting machine companies if flaws were discovered. Violating policy.
-Order to only report directly to White House.
That’s NOT typical at all!!
ProPublica: Trump Appointees Wanted a Voting Machine Hacked
A few months into President Donald Trump’s second term, political appointees at the Department of Homeland Security made an unusual request of its agency focused on cybersecurity: Secretly acquire a voting machine and hack it.
The appointees wanted the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to procure the machine, examine it and report back the findings so they could be given to the White House, according to two former administration officials with knowledge of the request.

There's something powerful about witnessing so many people show up, people stand together, and make their voices heard.
The energy, the crowds, the determination is a reminder that democracy is about the people, and our voices matter.
