Elon Musk just laid out the next thousand years of the economy in four sentences.
Buried in a reply. Just after midnight in Texas. Between memes.
Here it is:
"Optimus and Cybercab will be the vast majority of Tesla's value.
The only things that will scale to incredible size (K2 and beyond) economically are super intelligence, robots, solar power and mass to space.
And, of course, if you have the first two, the rest will follow.
But Roadster is super cool, so we're doing it anyway."
Most people read that and saw a car company talking about robots.
Read it again.
K2 means Kardashev Type II. A civilization that harnesses the energy of its entire star.
Not a country. Not a planet. A star.
Humanity isn't even Type I yet. We still fight over oil fields.
And the guy running a car company is telling investors: that's the scoreboard.
Not deliveries. Not margins. Not who sold more SUVs last quarter.
The Kardashev scale.
Wall Street counts cars.
Elon counts stars.
Now look at the list again.
Super intelligence. Robots. Solar power. Mass to space.
Grok. Optimus. Tesla Energy. Starship.
That's not a portfolio.
That's a recipe.
And the real twist is hiding in the third sentence: "if you have the first two, the rest will follow."
Think about what that means.
For all of history, every civilization hit the same wall. Not enough minds. Not enough hands.
Every cathedral, every railroad, every moon landing was limited by how many smart people and how many workers you could gather in one place.
Now imagine intelligence is abundant. Imagine labor is abundant.
Building a solar farm becomes a task.
Building a rocket becomes a task.
Building the factory that builds the robots becomes a task.
Remove those two bottlenecks and everything else is downstream.
Everything.
This week analysts will grill Tesla about deliveries and margins. Fine. That's their job.
But the man has already told you what the game is. Most people just scrolled past it.
And then, right after sketching the path to a star-powered civilization, he adds one more line:
"But Roadster is super cool, so we're doing it anyway."
That's my favorite part.
Because it's the whole philosophy in a single sentence.
You can plan for the Kardashev scale and still build a car with SpaceX thrusters just because it's awesome.
Serious about the future. Never too serious to have fun building it.
The pessimists are busy asking what Tesla is worth this quarter.
The better question: what is humanity worth when thinking and building stop being scarce?
My bet: a lot more than one planet.
Replying to @Teslaconomics
Optimus and Cybercab will be the vast majority of Tesla’s value.
The only things that will scale to incredible size (K2 and beyond) economically are super intelligence, robots, solar power and mass to space.
And, of course, if you have the first two, the rest will follow.
But Roadster is super cool, so we’re doing it anyway.

JAMES TALARICO DOES NOT SUPPORT BORDER SECURITY: Talarico’s false claim that he called out the Biden Administration for failing on the border is nothing more than a #FakeNews political ad. His record shows that he labeled border security funding as “wasting money on dumb things,” and instead supported diverting $800 million in funds away from protecting our borders. He voted AGAINST creating a Border Protection Unit and he has called for “pathways” to citizenship, aka “AMNESTY” for illegal aliens. At least 25 million illegal aliens invaded the US during the 4 years of the disastrous Biden Administration and openly advocating for pathways to citizenship is NOT putting America First and will lead to the destruction of America as we know it. We CANNOT afford another disaster on our borders!

The CLARITY Act was a TOTAL PSYOP.
The Republicans vouched for something the people wanted and they caught the Democrats with their pants down in 4K.
They showed the world that all they care about is being anti-Trump and they're completely controlled by the big banks.
Now that the world knows who supports their freedom and who doesn't going into a mid-term election, they're going to bring clear regulation anyways through the CFTC, FDIC, SEC, and the Treasury.
What a masterclass.
