The largest and longest study to date (18.3 million adults) tracking the relationship between COVID-19 and neurodegenerative disorders found that contracting COVID-19 SIGNIFICANTLY increases the risk of developing cognitive impairment and dementia. 🔗👇🔍

🚨❓Question @topublichealth When is it 'inappropriate' to wear a mask indoors?😷🙃🙄 We don't say: Wash your hands when appropriate Stop using this cop-out language when it comes to masking & just tell people to wear them please? Stop giving people an excuse not to mask.

First, correct your spelling: it's Semmelweis. And I rather admire Ignaz Semmelweis. Do you know why? Because he had data, not merely a grievance against medical authority. He demonstrated dramatic reductions in maternal mortality when physicians washed their hands. His critics clung to established beliefs despite evidence. They loved anecdotes, like you seem to. Bring me data that challenges established medicine, and I'll listen. I've challenged conventional thinking myself, published research, and defended conclusions with evidence. There's nothing wrong with standing alone in science. I've done it. But here's what people invoking Semmelweis so often misunderstand: He wasn't right, because he stood alone. He stood alone because he was right with the data to demonstrate it. You haven't presented data. You've presented an analogy and an insult. And that makes you the anti-Semmelweis.

I have trust issues with doctors that act the exact same way the doctors did when ignasius semilwiesse was around and I find your exactly of the same attitude. Hope this hurts your ego "doctor"?

Here is the Covid debate in a nutshell.... On one side you have "Covid is dangerous" backed by 500,000 peer reviewed publications showing the damage Covid causes, coupled with the reality that more people are sick more often, for longer, more severely. On the other side you have, "Covid is mild", backed by, "the government said so", with zero proof, publications, or even real world evidence to show it to be true. There really is no debate, it's just facts vs fiction at this point, and the fiction is winning because its less work and more comfortable. Policy should match the reality.

Everyone is focusing on the horror the pilots and souls on that Learjet experienced; give a thought to the air traffic controller, who almost certainly knew he was having the last conversation that girl was ever going to have and yet was calm, cool, and supportive. 💔

Spot-on takedown of healthcare workers who complain about masking. Kevin Handy is an intensive care MD and anesthesiologist who’s tired of the BS. @Moreicuforyou on other platforms.

Nvidia intentionally crippled their $1,000 graphics cards so average consumers couldn’t use its full computing power. Why? Because they sell the exact same chip to big tech companies for $7,000+. Modders have now cracked Nvidia's software paywall, proving we were sold intentionally downgraded hardware just to protect their corporate profits. This is some bullshit. Also means people bought bigger more expensive cards than they needed to.

The cardiologist that suggested 20 minutes of “me time” per day for women in their 30’s with chest pain has now deleted @keetmuise comment about the American Heart Association warning that Covid is causing a tsunami of cardiac events. 📢 DELETED THE COMMENT. Medical professionals are choosing to ignore the truth about Covid and instead choose to gaslight their patients and will them to their graves.

He must have deleted the first comment so I posted another one. “American Heart Association warned of a tsunami of cardiac events after Covid was shown to damage the heart. Covid and long Covid are the two new variables so there if there is an alarming trend of new cardiac issues, how can you even post a video or have a conversation without mentioning Covid? The alarming trend is because of the alarming variable, which is the unchecked spread of Covid. Also most of the symptoms you’re describing sound like long Covid. Do you mask in clinical setting? 20 minutes of relaxing time isn’t going to fix this problem, stress and having to work has been around forever Covid hasn’t.”

5. Risk analysis and mitigation is not rooted in fear. It is rooted in the ability to understand the variables of a changed environment and adapt to them. That is to say, risk analysis and mitigation is based in facing reality head-on. This is a rare and valuable skill. /end

They are currently weak, have heavy sniffles, while still debating the Halloween party and drinks. Covid already decided YES and is going door to door in its favorite Halloween costume: “just a cold.”

Hi Dr. Dean. I wear an FFP2 mask in all public indoor spaces. I use NAAT testing to test guests to my home. This takes about 30 minutes then, if -ve, guests umask. To the best of my knowledge, I have never had Covid-19. In fact, I have not had so much as a cold since early 2019.
Do you guys wear N95 masks in all public spaces? Do you let people into your homes without masks?

“Do you think the Covid virus was made in a lab?” I don’t care. Seriously. I do not care. It would change absolutely nothing for me either way, so I don’t see the point of expending any mental energy worrying about it. No matter where it came from, it’s here, and must be fought.

I feel like many have forgotten that the first S in SARS stands for “Severe.” “Covid is mild now! It’s basically just a cold!” Right, right… and you think viruses only damage your body in ways you can feel immediately? 🤨 It’s a severe disease even if it doesn’t feel that way!

I do. I've used a respirator almost 7yrs in public indoors. I've not had a single runny nose/cough or worse in almost 7yrs. I like this so much better than old normal of 2-4 fevers a year + runny nose/cough here and there between that I don't want to go back to.

Two points: first, there is no 'after Covid'. There is 'after the end of societal non-pharmaceutical interventions'. Second, Covid can cause both prolonged fatigue and prolonged cognitive dysfunction. Because Covid is so common, population level effects are inevitable.
After COVID, people's social skills have drastically declined. Many have less patience for each other, and simple interactions can feel awkward. Everyone seems more comfortable staying home and avoiding people.

YOUR ATTENTION: 🚨Every new COVID-19 (re)infection elevates your cardiovascular risk profile. Even mild cases can raise the odds of a heart attack, stroke, heart failure, and other CV events for months to years afterward. Risk is higher with more severe illness, yes, but it’s certainly not limited to severe disease. Updated vaccination will show some mitigation(infection severity↓) but doesn’t give you a risk-free pass! #AvoidSars2 #AvoidReinfections #UpdateVaccination ➡️Supportive links: 1. The widespread acceptance of the idea that 'Covid is over' while people are still constantly getting Covid over and over again.
What’s the weirdest thing society accepts as normal?
