Hundreds of resident Doctor colleagues are going to be unemployed this month. This is a catastrophic failure of workforce planning by UK Govts & many senior clinicians who have had a role/ influence in workforce planning. As a profession - we should all be throughly ashamed.

I just finished a Med reg on call shift. My FY1 colleague, by the time I got there, had already delivered life saving treatment at 8pm a sunday. Don't ever try and tell me that my FY1 colleague is worth £16 an hour. Don't ever tell me they're not worth £22/hr. Strike hard.

Lisa, Mohsen, Helen, Sofia and Jayne have studied hard for five years to become doctors. But excitement about their new role has been replaced with uncertainty. With 7 weeks to go, they still do not know where they will be working. Our future doctors deserve better.

The greatest season the vast majority have ever witnessed, we’ve loved every moment. We always hope the displays give just that little bit extra to the lads on the pitch, and we are so grateful to our fan base who help make this happen. 2024/25, thanks for the memories. We can’t wait to go again. worflags.org.uk/product/sign…

Can’t see a GP - blame MPs & NHS England Core funding for GP Practices has been cut by £2bn since 2016, enough for an average practice to employ 2 GPs, a Practice Nurse & more admin staff Instead £1.4bn on ARRS ~ additional roles but no GPs or Practice Nurses Patients need GPs

Bring back the family Doctor We all want this as we know instinctively that seeing the same person or group of people is key to managing health better Yet with funding cuts there are fewer GPs available, making it harder for patients & GPs to provide the continuity of care needed

Gotta love being a 30-something professional with three degrees and 15 years of cumulative study and training whose employer thinks that making sure I get paid correctly and on time is something to boast about.
The NHS is setting out measures to improve the working lives of postgraduate doctors. These include improving payroll accuracy, reducing admin burden and enhancing choice and flexibility with rotas. england.nhs.uk/publication/i…
