Reports reaching us say that a church was attacked by a mob of Hindu nationalists belonging to Mr Modi's party in Delhi area around 11 AM during worship on Sunday August 20, 2023. Eyewitnesses say that the mob tore several Bibles during the attack.
The mob entered the church known as 'Siyyon Prathna Bhawan' (Zion Prayer Home) in the Tahirpur area shouting and yelling at Christian worshippers. They raised war cries like, "𝙃𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙪 𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙩𝙧𝙖 𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚, 𝙅𝙖𝙞 𝙎𝙝𝙧𝙞 𝙍𝙖𝙢." They started beating and kicking the worshippers including the women and children.
Several Christians were injured during this attack. So when the Christian worshippers managed to reach the police station to file a complaint, the mob gathered in front of the Police Station warning the police not to file cases.
