If you describe what is occurring in the US as a “coup” or “fascism,” or refer to the elected government as a “regime” (left or right), I have deep contempt for you.
Your cosplaying as oppressed makes light of the suffering of those who have lived under actual authoritarianism.
The responses to this are something else.

I wrote about the issue this morning:
#ELB: Citing preamble to NVRA, DOJ sues to enjoin certification of Alaska’s Senate race (it won’t go anywhere) ift.tt/mP0Sd16
How can newborns consent?
People are now just saying absurd things because it is easier to double down that have minimal nuance.
I don’t see how this is compatible with polls showing Talarico up.
Mind you, I think any poll should be taken with a pile of salt—including this one.
New @UHouston @hobbyschooluh poll on #Texas rural & Latino voters:
Rural LV:
@KenPaxtonTX 65%
@jamestalarico 27%
Latino LV:
Talarico 51%
Paxton: 41%
I deleted some tweets b/c I really don’t want to blast people on here. I’d rather be someone positive, although I fail miserably, over and over.
I would just encourage people to think about the remainder of the thread & the sort of person they are allowing themselves to be.
Replying to @Legal_Fil
Because I’m exercised here, allow me to add:
One big reason we are where we are, politically, is because otherwise decent people have allowed themselves to be compromised. Then, discovering they are compromised, they backfill a story about why they are not. ….
I am under no delusion about how, in a binary system, people will choose a lesser evil. It is understandable & maybe even moral.
But telling yourself that a lesser bad is actually good is an abdication of your responsibility as a moral agent. You should not shy away from truth…
While I appreciate the effort that goes into early voting analysis, I genuinely don’t understand the breathlessness that surrounds it at this stage of voting
Any number of narratives and counter narratives can be spun.

I don’t think all Muslims are supportive of Muslims Brotherhood. I think he has been, in his own hand, under his own name. To conflate Muslim and Muslim Brotherhood supportive, as he does here, is almost as bigoted as calling Arab-Americans cat-calling, loosie-selling quick stop owners, which he also did.
Going to be interesting when people start making stuff up about Uygur after his death, knowing they can’t be sued for defamation, and Piker and the hive start crying about how it is inappropriate.
We’re going to drop a bombshell documentary on @TheYoungTurks tomorrow morning called The Closetocracy. Which US Senator did we catch using male escorts?

(1/2)Between about 6:45-9:00AM today, an estimated 2” fell on the headwaters of Gould Wash! That was enough to send a flood wave down the Wash and into the town of Hurricane.
Both shocking and totally expected.

I am tired of seeing books that I can read whenever I want added to "banned books" tables.
If bookstores want to show they are brave, show the Satanic Verses. They should have copies of the Charlie Hebdo issue that spurred that massacre.
If you want to be brave, be brave.
