MARIE KONDO: Does this bring you joy?
HANK HILL: They're called linesman's pliers, and yes, they bring me a great deal of joy.
There's a letter to the editor in today's Columbus Dispatch saying he doesn't care if Vivek is personally immoral because Bill Clinton and Donald Trump had personal issues, but were great Presidents.
The American voter is a strange and scary animal.

In the eight years since Ohio last voted for a Democrat (Sherrod Brown, incidentally enough!), the state has seen some important changes under the hood.
Here's a handy set of benchmarks to watch as Democrats seek to flip the state on Tuesday.
This is the most inexplicable adaption ever thought of. Even as a joke, it doesn't work more than "random word spew" because there's nothing to suggest from the source material a buddy cop thing. Like, Carraway and Gatsby don't even have an interesting character dynamic.

Alaska, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Ohio, and Texas all voted against Trump’s first primary bid. A decade later, they have a chance to deliver the final blow.

“It’s pretty gross that people continue to drink water that could otherwise be used to cool data centers.”

Look, you can say the Alaskan situation is different because the Dem candidate directly recruited the spoiler, but this is absolute horseshit. Some GOP dark money PAC is trying to make it look like AOC backs Ford. She doesn't.
Replying to @RalstonReports
Third, the AOC stuff may be disingenuous but: Ford once earmarked a contribution to AOC and even called herself the AOC of Clark County as a skl board candidate.
Bottom line: Danielle may cost Aaron the gov's race (not convinced), but Alaska is an apple and we are an orange.

How could it be that the Republican Party of Texas put up one of the worst candidates in its history for Senate this year? They’re wondering that too: “This is one of the biggest dirtbags that has ever run for office” nymag.com/intelligencer/arti…

This is such a strange, disappointing statement. That Rebellion pac ad is stupid and unhelpful but i don’t think it ever aired in Michigan it was a tiny digital buy for super online people. The stakes of this election are so much bigger than this.
On the eve of the eve of the eve of our BIG and important election, a unifying moment has arrived, our democratic nominee for U.S Senate disavows the Rebellion PAC ad made by Hasan Piker’s uncle that claims Jews are responsible for America’s economic woes. We have learned from party leaders and emissaries, as reported in the news media that he has.
On Sunday I will join with the Great Democratic leader, Jim Clyburn and Dr El Sayed for a church service in the beautiful city of Detroit.
The political coalition of Black and Jewish voices that have carried Michigan and this country through so many storms to the righteous path of liberal democracy and equal opportunity for all will ring out. Full statement here:
Right, the Alaska story is a paragraph of a much larger story of both parties doing this stuff. wosu.org/politics-government…
Can't get enough of this ratf*ck GOP Nevada mailer that makes it look like a left-wing candidate who shares a last name with the Dem candidate is endorsed by AOC.
It's not just Alaska - this crap is in the DNA of modern campaigns. thenevadaindependent.com/art…

Justice Dept says cost of new seawall at East Potomac Park will cost between $150 million and $400 million
Judge: Who appropriated money for that?
Justice Dept says no one did.

I warned that “gerrymandering didn’t work” would be one of the post-election takes if the GOP lost — but they are clearly going to win seats bc they gerrymandered.
No gerrymander and Dems probably net House seats in Texas. Now, they could elect a Senator, get 50% of the statewide vote, take back the RGV… and on net lose one seat, giving Rs a 26-12 advantage in the delegation.

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.
