For those who doubt official police records, this report finding a 25% drop in violent crime uses survey data from 240,000 people across the US. This is an unprecedented crime decline.
According to preliminary estimates from @BJSgov's NCVS, violent crime declined by 25% in 2025. It's another data point joining many others indicating a massive crime drop over the past few years. bjs.ojp.gov/library/publicat…

The College-in-3 trend is accelerating. Early movers experimenting with a 3 year bachelor’s degree were less selective schools like Merrimack or Weber State. Then states like OH, OK, and KS told their flagship universities to pilot the 90 credit degree. Now even NYU is doing it.

French protestors want higher public spending, wages, subsidies and pensions. Meanwhile France has gov’t spending of 57% of GDP (among highest of Western countries), deficits of 5% of GDP, 10 year bond rate >5%, and a currency they don’t control. I don’t understand how this ends.

More than 130 people were tragically killed in the July 4th floods that ravaged Central Texas last year. We now know that many of them did not receive emergency alerts due to compromised cellular networks that were knocked out by the storm.
I was proud to work with @RepPfluger on the Mystic Alerts Act that @POTUS signed into law yesterday. This law will address this technology shortfall and honor the memory of those lost by ensuring people can receive wireless emergency alerts on their mobile devices via satellite even when disaster strikes.
