I hate to break it to you but that happens more often than not INSIDE city limits of NYC, Miami, SF, and LA by yuppies being afraid to even go to suburban grocery stores. In the country folks don't give a shit how old they are when they start a new project.
Once you leave cities like NYC, Miami, San Francisco, and LA, you find that America is one depressing place.
It's not even in terms of prestige, aura, money, or anything like that.

They think life ends after 25 if you don't have a wife and kids.
They just gossip about neighbors and coworkers all day.
The idea of someone reinventing themselves at 30, 40, or 50 disgusts them because "you should have already made it by 25".
It's just a giant gathering of people who had easy upbringings looking down on anyone who didn't have it as easy as them growing up.
This is intentional product design. They want you to gamble your money away rather than be able to calculate what you need to play a given format. Hyper casual players don't even have a baseline, just vibes. Look at how they promote Secret Lairs, for example. It's all FOMO based.
