My friend's father is an IRS officer.
She is extremely rich despite her father's salary being just ₹2 lakhs per month.
Like extremely rich, her pg rent was ₹40,000 while preparing for neet.
Coaching, food, etc. is seperate, her monthly spend for neet prep was ₹80k.
She was complaining to me once how Indian infrastructure is so bad and US infra is so much better.
How Indians lack civic sense, and all the problems, she complaint to me for 2-3 hrs.
I looked at her, I wanted to say something but I controlled myself.
I desperately wanted to tell her that it's because of corrupt officers like your father that India sucks in every aspect.
I don't know much about her wealth, because she used to hide a lot of things.
But I still know, that her dad owns land worth ₹50 crore with a salary of.... yes, just ₹2 lakhs.

At what point did our idea of celebration become so insensitive to the people and living beings around us?
Your celebration shouldn’t have to come at the cost of someone else’s health, peace or well-being.

When I went to buy my BMW, the salesperson insisted that I take a test drive.
Now, here’s the thing. I had never driven a BMW before. In fact, I had never even sat inside a luxury car.
I had made a promise to myself long ago: The first time I sit inside a BMW or a Mercedes, it will be when I can afford to buy one.
So, when that day finally came, I was hesitant to take the test drive. I was worried I might accidentally damage the car.
But the salesperson insisted, and I finally agreed.
A few minutes into the drive, he asked me to switch to Sport mode, take the car up to 110 km/h, and drive over a speed breaker without slowing down.
And then he casually said, “Dekho sir, feel nahi hua na?”
I was already sold on the car before I even entered the showroom. But that one experience increased its aura tenfold in my eyes. I went there to buy a BMW. He made me understand why I wanted one.
