My friend's father is an IRS officer.
She is extremely rich despite her father's salary being just ₹2 lakhs per month.
Like extremely rich, her pg rent was ₹40,000 while preparing for neet.
Coaching, food, etc. is seperate, her monthly spend for neet prep was ₹80k.
She was complaining to me once how Indian infrastructure is so bad and US infra is so much better.
How Indians lack civic sense, and all the problems, she complaint to me for 2-3 hrs.
I looked at her, I wanted to say something but I controlled myself.
I desperately wanted to tell her that it's because of corrupt officers like your father that India sucks in every aspect.
I don't know much about her wealth, because she used to hide a lot of things.
But I still know, that her dad owns land worth ₹50 crore with a salary of.... yes, just ₹2 lakhs.

At least your dog isn’t on someone’s plate. 🥀
The world is celebrating Diwali by bursting crackers. My dog is spending the night hiding under the bed, trembling in fear.
Meanwhile, people with asthma are breathing polluted air, elderly people and babies are struggling with the noise, heart patients may experience distress, and birds and stray animals have nowhere to escape.
At what point did our idea of celebration become so insensitive to the people and living beings around us?
Your celebration shouldn’t have to come at the cost of someone else’s health, peace or well-being.
And before anyone makes this about religion or communalism, I celebrate Diwali too. This isn’t about religion. It’s about basic civic sense and empathy.

When I went to buy my BMW, the entire process was simple & straightforward.
Not everything in life needs to be dramatised.
Went in, told what I want. Told I dont have money & showed my gf gruhalakshmi entry, milk purchase & booked!

"Apple’s Chinese films are interested in what it feels like to be Chinese. Apple's Indian films are interested in what India looks like, as seen from the outside."
Because that's exactly how Indian elites/leftists look at india. they are extremely disconnected from India.
The exaggerated head bobs and literal egyptian steps are the caricature of an "Indian", what west thinks and our people will represent India as foreign masters like, just like how they write articles for international media.

When your integrity is so fragile that Bollywood can buy you out, imagine what happens when Soros-backed money starts flowing your way. Some people clearly have a price the only question is how low it is.
I understand disagreements over casting, actors, actresses and creative choices. Those conversations are natural. But what I cannot understand is the eagerness to ridicule an entire project before watching it, sometimes crossing the line into mocking our own scriptures.
People questioned Jatayu’s presence, his association with Dasharath ji and kept asking, “Yeh kab hua tha?” Many making these jokes hadn’t even bothered to understand Valmiki Ramayana. A written epic and a visual adaptation are two different storytelling mediums. Context sometimes has to be established visually.
Our Itihas deserves more than the half-hearted adaptations we have seen in the past, with compromised budgets, limited ambition and visuals that fail to communicate the grandeur of our glorious past. We need filmmakers willing to dream big, invest big and take these stories to the world. With an Oscar-winning VFX powerhouse like DNEG involved, this is a significant cinematic moment.
I understand that not every filmmaker will be familiar to us, and not every creative decision will immediately appeal to everyone. Sometimes, we have to allow people the space to surprise us.
From what I have seen and heard so far, the attempt has been to present the story with dignity and respect for our sentiments. And that matters.
A film like this doesn’t come along every day. It is a rare opportunity to see our civilisation’s greatest story envisioned on a global cinematic canvas.
Watch it in cinemas. Take your children along. This is an experience meant for the big screen, not just snippets watched on a phone. Let them see, understand and become curious about the stories that shaped our civilisation.
And while you are at it, pick up Valmiki Ramayana. Read it yourself, encourage your children to read it too. A cinematic experience can spark curiosity, but understanding our scriptures is a journey we must undertake ourselves.
We can have our criticisms, but let us not become so cynical that we forget to celebrate when someone actually attempts something this ambitious with our own stories.
I would rather see a hundred attempts to take our Itihas to the world than see it remain confined to conversations within our own homes.
Some stories deserve to be told. Some deserve to be retold. And some deserve to be seen on the biggest screen possible.
#Ramayana is one of them.

“People should support it by seeing the bigger picture.”
By that logic, anyone can make a mockery of our Itihas & we are expected to overlook it simply because it carries a Hindu name, even when the purpose is driven by commercial interests and never a good intention.
Hindus support intent, not exploitation in the name of faith.
Hindus supported Hanuman Ansh, a low budget film that found its audience through God's grace and word of mouth.
Hindus supported The Kashmir Files, even when it faced resistance and the threat of a ban in TMC ruled Bengal then.
Hindus showed Congressi Riteish Deshmukh his aukaat, showed that they wouldn't blindly fund a film on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj merely because his name was attached to it.
Hindus rejected Adipurush when its makers attempted to distort the Ramayana with their own cringe versions.
And real devotees will reject this Marxist Ramayana too.
For me, a beef eater and a communist playing Bhagwaan Shri Ram and Mata Sita is unacceptable in the first place. Everything else is secondary.
Faith is not a commercial licence to distort our Itihas.
