The person responsible for handling the response to the New world Screwworm outbreak is a CAREER BIDEN HOLDOVER
He was also responsible for the mishandling of the Bird Flu during the Biden Administration that cost American egg producers millions and sent egg prices surging
Why has the USDA ignored repeated calls to replace him?

I’m getting photos from people I know with ranches here in Texas showing cases they are finding that the government isn’t counting in their reports

So the screwworm situation in Texas is apparently worse than the news is saying…

UPDATE: New World Screwworm is no longer contained to Texas.
USDA says that the infested dog announced earlier today lives in Lea County, New Mexico and will be reclassified as the first detection in that state.
And now a goat in Gillespie County, TX, has also been confirmed.

Reported is the key word. I had pictures and vid of the calf in LaPryor before any officials were notified. I think the problem is being hushed or is very disorganized.

No infected wildlife carcasses have been reported between the U.S.-Mexico border and the two confirmed New World Screwworm cases in Zavala County, Texas calves, roughly 50–60 miles north.
While officials attribute the jump to natural dispersal, the absence of any intermediate detections—despite active surveillance, traps, and sterile-fly buffers—makes an undetected leap by a fly that normally travels only a few miles highly improbable, strongly fueling suspicions of intentional mischief, such as deliberate transport or release of infested material aimed at disrupting U.S. cattle operations. Aggressive genetic tracing of the Texas strain is essential to determine whether this was sabotage or coincidence.

The only way proven way to suppress and eradicate NWS is through SIT. The current USDA plan is necessary but not fast enough for the unfolding crisis. Additional sterilized flies are needed now. There are modular options that were scientifically validated in the 1950s that have potential to scale within months to provide an initial operational capability to start closing the sterilized fly gap long before the planned fixed facilities may come on line at the end of 2027, at the earliest. The fly is not waiting to spread, why should we wait to accelerate new options?

Texas State Representative @donfortexas breaks down the state and federal response after the first confirmed case of the flesh-eating screwworm was detected in Texas, raising major concerns for the livestock industry.
“We got the first positive case in the U.S…. Between the Texas Animal Health Commission and the USDA, people were on the ground here immediately when this was detected… We’re looking at every option that we have… what other medicine can we use to combat this.”

The U.S. herd is the smallest since 1951.
The breeding herd hasn’t been this low since 1961. 827,000 Nebraska acres just burned. The federal government isn’t in the field.
Every dollar moving to ranchers right now is private.

I’ve been seeing these posts about putting Optimus on the meat-cutting lines, and all I can think about is Bell Ranch rolling a chuck wagon across 290,000 acres… on purpose.
I look at that chuck wagon and I see discipline.
Not nostalgia. Discipline.
It takes work to preserve meaning. It takes money. It takes leadership that’s willing to say some things stay because they matter.
What I’m watching right now is a culture that doesn’t want to do that work.
We let the butcher shops disappear.
We let the apprenticeships dry up.
We let the knowledge age out.
Then we act surprised when there’s a labor shortage.
There isn’t a shortage of human capability. There’s a shortage of investment in people.
If we had put real funding behind agricultural education, behind trade schools, behind teaching kids how to break down a carcass and run a small plant, we wouldn’t be fantasizing about robots running our kill floors.
The loss of meaning and the loss of the national herd travel together.
When land becomes an asset class instead of a legacy, cattle numbers follow that shift.
When young people don’t see dignity or stability in ranching and processing, they don’t step into it.
Then somebody rolls out a robot and calls it innovation.
Preserving the cowboy way of life isn’t about cosplay. It’s about keeping the human infrastructure intact.
You fund the education.
You fund the regional processors.
You make the trade honorable and profitable again.
And suddenly the future doesn’t require replacing the people who built it. @beefinitiative @elonmusk

Appreciate @MattGaetz for having me on his show to talk about the very real threat of the New World Screwworm. This is not theoretical. If we do not act early, the human and economic costs to Texas and the United States will be devastating.
Texas State Representative @donfortexas warns of FLESH-EATING PARASITE – the New World Screwworm – that’s making its way from Latin America to the southern United States, and warns against the human and economic cost.
“If we don’t take stronger action against the screwworm when it starts to cross into Texas—what it does is a mosquito bite, a scratch across your arm—one of these flies lands on your arm… they lay eggs where that blood is, then larvae builds there and turns to maggots and starts eating your flesh. It will affect not only livestock — [it will affect] wildlife, your pets and human health.”

This isn’t something we can afford to ignore or slow-roll in Washington. The New World Screwworm poses a serious and growing threat to South Texas — not just to cattle, but to wildlife, human health, and the very economy of our region.
Â
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the federal response has not moved fast enough. Our producers are nervous, the science is clear, and the clock is ticking. We know what needs to be done — we just need the federal government to step up and do it.
Â
That’s why I recorded this message directly to President Trump. I’m not looking to pick a fight. I’m looking for action.
Â
I hope this message reaches the people who need to hear it — and I hope they act before it’s too late. We are out of time.

.@JusticeATR is just getting started.
. @POTUS is taking on the Big Beef cartel.
🥩Four packers:
Cargill, JBS, Tyson, and National Beef—control 80%+ of America’s beef supply.
JBS and National Beef are effectively run from Brazil, where exports to China help set U.S. beef prices.
That squeezes ranchers and hits consumers.
President Trump has directed DOJ to act

While the '25–'30 Dietary Guidelines repeat familiar messages like eat more veggies & fruits, they also overemphasize protein, downplay fiber, muddy guidance on processed foods, and send mixed messages on saturated fat.

I don’t want the government to have to seize anything….I want a failed business to go on sale and allow new market entrants…but history shows in Norfolk and West Point that wasn’t allowed because they didn’t want competition….It amazes me the amount of people that feel sorry for a company that has treated rural America like absolute garbage
