Text (abbreviated): On July 25, our dear friend Kevin “HolyMan” Lawler passed away unexpectedly. For those who had the privilege of knowing him, they knew Kevin as a friend through work, through games, or through good wine (and almost always all three). Kevin joined Riot in June as the Global Head of Community Management after most recently serving as the Director of Community Partnerships at Twitch, where we had the honor of getting to know him, work with him, and become friends. Kevin brought enthusiasm and a bright spirit everywhere he went, and it is a comfort to know that so many of you got to know him over these past several years. His passion for community and his love of mentoring others was a huge boost to every community he served. This leaves an immeasurable loss. As he was also a deeply loved son and brother, our hearts are with his family during this difficult time.
