I’ve been trying to loose weight this year and having terrible luck. Then it hit me. Why not use Claude? So I cobbled together an app using open source metabolic models to get a real time estimation of my metabolic system. It’s been working great! I log my food in it and it estimates my liver and muscle glycogen levels. This helps me track how my food and exercise impacts my blood sugar and estimates precisely how much fat vs carbs I’m burning down to the gram. I’m not sure how precise it truly is but the trends match quite closely to reality and my weight input is used to continuously tune the model to match my metabolism. I’m about six pounds down now.

I always knew airplanes wanted to be modeled w/ implicit surfaces, why else would they say NO STEP all over?

At 3DR we developed geotagged video which allowed us to incorporate AR based visuals into the app. We built the home locator that shipped, object tracking and some games like ring racing and this AT-AT mockup. Would have been amazing to finish it.

I used @grok, @claudeai and @OpenAI to build a complete PCB EDA suite, which includes:
- Real-time collaboration with other users. Edit the same schematic, see each other's cursors and selections.
- A multi-agent AI assistant that can orchestrate subagents to review documents, perform deep reviews of the schematic, suggest BOM additions and circuits.
- Outputs that assist coding agents in understanding your PCB so that they can write the firmware for it.
This project as it stands now is the result of many thousands of agent sessions. I frequently run 30+ sessions at a time to complete audits and other tasks that span hundreds of agent sessions. I have spec documents that took 800+ agent sessions to complete and review. I use my own harness built using headless agents (claude -p, codex exec, etc). This is the largest project I have ever built, at ~250k SLOC.
The goal is to create a Thingiverse/Cults3D-like marketplace for engineers to share their boards and circuits, and to make circuit reuse much easier.
Imagine you want to build a drone with a single circuit board: you need an autopilot, an RC receiver, an ESC, a GPS, a power supply. You don't have to design each of these from scratch - you tell the AI what you want and the AI builds the schematic out of a bunch of marketplace circuits. You flip to the PCB tab and each of these major circuits is already laid out - you drag them into place and draw the traces between them.
It is invite-only for now. It has been an absolute blast building this and I hope to get it out to people soon. Schematics are pretty mature, PCB design isn't ready yet. Happy to invite people who want to give it a shot anyway, as long as it is understood that it is not ready for end-to-end design.
So far, I've been funding development myself. Would love to connect with anyone who sees the potential and wants to help accelerate it.

Elon: Both sides can try to associate the other side with Nazis (which is absurd), or both sides can grow up and show a glimpse of intellectualism.
The great battle of our time is pseudo-intellectualism vs anti-intellectualism, with the intellectuals shoved aside by a majority of people who speak about and act on things they don’t misunderstand.
It’s time to bring the debate up a notch into the realms of science, history and philosophy. What it’s not the time for is grand generalizations and empty statements that attempt to achieve political gains.

The K1000's solar-powered endurance and modular design represent exactly the type of battlefield innovation needed to maintain America's strategic edge. With a 1,000-mile range and 76-hour flight time, this platform delivers persistent ISR/EW capabilities without the logistical burden of traditional systems—critical for Indo-Pacific operations where supply lines stretch thin.
The Pentagon's $20M APFIT investment shows targeted spending on asymmetric tools that amplify joint force effectiveness. While civilian agencies drown in bloat, this defense contract proves focused R&D yields exponential returns.
Now scale it Army-wide and watch PLA strategists sweat.

US Army deploys solar-powered spy drone with 1,000-mile range for endurance missions | Kapil Kajal, Interesting Engineering
This was the first time the soldiers could operate the system independently.
To improve its intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, the US Army has introduced the K1000 Ultra-Long Endurance Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS).
Developed by California-based Kraus Hamdani Aerospace, this solar-powered drone is now operational with the Army’s 1st Multi-Effects Battalion (MDEB) under the 1st Multi-Domain Task Force (MDTF).
Solar drone for surveillance
According to a press release by the US Army, the highlight of the training was the network extension integration and deep sensing capability of High-Altitude Balloons (HABs) and the experimentation with K1000 ultra-long-endurance, solar-powered UAS.
“This is our first real exercise integrating government owned and operated ultra long-endurance UAS specifically designed for long-range deep sensing,” said Lt. Col. Joseph Mroszczyk, commander of 1 MDEB.
Before the exercise, the unit spent two years working with Kraus Hamdani Aerospace to test and train on the long-endurance UAS system.
This was the first time the soldiers could operate the system independently.
“We’ve got trained pilots and mechanics gaining valuable experience on the platform now,” Lt. Col. Mroszczyk added.
“They’re logging hours and providing crucial sensor data, enabling us to serve as the task force’s eyes and ears, and as key contributing Army sensor to the Joint Force.”
During Static Focus 3, 1 MDEB completed over one hundred hours of UAS flights in different setups.
“From a maintenance perspective, I was astonished by how little time and resources the platform demanded,” said Sgt. Jake Meyer from the UAS platoon from 1 MDEB’s Extended Range and Sensing Effects (ERSE) Company.
“Compared to traditional platforms, which require several months to get familiarized with, we were up and running in just two days.”
1,000-mile drone
The US Army included max endurance testing in the platform experiments for flights with multiple ships.
“Multi-ship flight operations are the most complex missions, but the autonomous capability allows me, as an operator, to focus on the mission instead of my continuous direct management of each aircraft,” said Staff Sgt. Jacob Wilbert from the UAS platoon of 1 MDEB’s ERSE Company.
Complementary to the long-range deep sensing UAS, the unit also experimented with HABs from three vendors sponsored by the Army ISR Task Force for inclusion in the event.
The K1000 is three meters (9.8 feet) long and has a wingspan of five meters (16.4 feet). It uses lithium-ion batteries for power and has a folding propeller.
This drone can fly up to 1,000 miles (1,610 kilometers) and reach a maximum altitude of 20,000 feet (7,000 meters). Its top speed is 40 knots (74 kilometers/46 miles per hour).
One operator can control a fleet of K1000 drones using an easy-to-use, game-like interface.
