Prof. Israel Finkelstein has just published this article in which he argues for a very late dating of certain Biblical texts. Some of this he has discussed before, but some of it (as far as I know) is quite new.
Feel free to discuss amongst yourselves.🙂

I released a new video on my YouTube channel covering 10 things I found interesting in the new Jay Stratton UFO book
Stratton ran the Pentagon’s UAP Task Force and investigated UFOs for the government for many years
Check it out!

I believe Vallee may have learned about ufo-baiting as early as 1967, when he discovered the Pentacle Memo in the files of J. Allen Hynek.

Sneako rode the red pill wave while it was hot. Then he jumped off the boat as it was sinking.
Then he did the right wing grift (remember his Trump endorsement?) but then left after he realized he’ll never be accepted (remember his crash out about Haiti?)
Now he found one community so desperate for clout and approval that they accept anyone.
Islam has become the final stop for people desperately looking for a place to be.
Is this a good look for our religion?

🧵(1/20) Muslims criticize the Western orientalism for constructing caricatures of Islam, but often fail to recognize that they themselves constructed caricatures of other Muslims. Islam itself has histories of internal Orientalism, the Ismāʿīlīs are a prime example of it.

Contrary to your claim, I did all my best to read the damaged parts. Here is an example from page 153a:

Thank you for your comment! With regard to your corrections, I will publish a written response on academia in the coming weeks. Your transcription is very useful of course, but incomplete, as it skips the more damaged passages. But the more people work on this text, the better!

Major transmitters of Ibn Shihāb al-Zuhrī in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī.
It is clear that generally Zubayrid individuals played an important role in transmitting his content.

I am starting to wonder if consciousness is just hallucinated into existence.
Like, we are conscious because we have words for it and we just keep telling ourselves and each other that we are conscious.
Wouldn't that be a hoot.
There's nothing constitutional or fundamental about consciousness. It's just confabulated into reality.

The project I am currently working on focuses particularly on the isnād citation patterns of the prolific traditionist Ibn Shihāb al-Zuhrī.
In this work, I argue that al-Zuhrī can indeed be credited as one of the first major Medinan transmitters who provided full chains.

Hey @grok, something I just don’t fathom.
By now there is copious evidence of a massive USG UFO program called “The Legacy Program”, so I think we can say it exists.
Further there is sworn testimony under oath of UFO crash retrievals. Yet there is ZERO PROOF!
How can this be??

This is interesting, Muawiya la, fixing some hot baths, and instead of using Allah & Muhammad pbuhahf, in the inscription, a Christian Cross is used. This whole family was anti-Islam, yet for Sunnis, he is one of their favourite SaHaBaa.

Another interesting fact is that Muawiyas wife and Yazid's mother was also from this Christian group, and she used to take Yazid l.a. to study under them.

This is just an admission from Ibn Taymiyya that Allah for him has real distinct parts. When the name “God” designates the divine essence and attributes and they are distinct then Allah designates two or more distinct entities together that make up a whole.

A noteworthy case of rejection of a narrator because of their belief is that of Jābir al-Juʿfī. Muslim reports that he claimed he possessed 80,000 traditions from al-Bāqir. Proto-Sunni narrators received him positively until his belief in The Return (al-Rajʿah) was exposed.

"In contrast, the divine (Brahman) in Hinduism is an abstract substance that absorbs individuality and in which the gods remain anthropomorphic or zoomorphic"
I have just been reading your take on this in your book as well, and having studied Vedic philosophy a bit I think this is a little more nuanced than you suggest. Advaita is the most monist school of Vedic thought, but its monism and understanding of the relation between the One and the individual is very similar to the kind found in Platonists like Plotinus.
However, Vishishtadvaita or "qualified non-dualism" was a far more popular school of thought. It taught that souls are real, independent parts of God which survive death. It's very similar to dualistic theism in the West and is associated with the more popular monotheistic traditions in Hinduism like Vaishnavism. There are also very strongly dualistic traditions like Dvaita which teach free will and the importance of moral discernment on the part of individual souls.
