In May 1962, the only Japanese pilot who ever bombed the United States mainland during World War II stepped off a plane in Brookings, Oregon, with a 400-year-old samurai sword hidden inside his suitcase. In September 1942, Imperial Japanese Navy pilot Nobuo Fujita had launched from submarine I-25 in a tiny floatplane and dropped incendiary bombs on the forests outside Brookings. Nobody was hurt, and rain put the small fires out. Twenty years later, the young Americans of the Brookings Jaycees, many of them U.S. combat veterans, invited their former enemy to their town Azalea Festival. Fujita packed his family's 400-year-old katana for a terrifying reason. He silently vowed that if angry Americans pelted him with rotten eggs, he would draw that ancestral blade and commit traditional seppuku right there to apologize with his life. Instead, American World War II veterans stepped forward, looked him in the eye, and shook his hand with warm smiles. Moved to tears by the grace of small-town Americans, Fujita handed over the 400-year-old sword that had guarded his family for sixteen generations as a pledge of eternal peace. When a timber recession hit Brookings in 1985, Fujita paid 15,000 dollars from his own pocket to fly three Brookings high school students to Japan. And when he died at age eighty-five, his daughter buried part of his ashes beneath an Oregon redwood tree. Only a truly great nation can disarm a samurai with an outstretched hand.

In a town of eight hundred people in Iowa, I woke up at six in the morning and saw twelve pickup trucks idling outside the gas station. Nobody was pumping gas. I thought there had been a town emergency. I walked inside to offer my assistance. There was no emergency. There was only a rotating glass carousel inside a Casey's General Store, and inside that carousel was something the Midwest calls Breakfast Pizza. It is pizza dough covered in warm cheese sauce, scrambled eggs, bacon, and melted cheddar, baked at dawn by a woman named Barb who knows every farmer in the county by the sound of his diesel engine. A man in Carhartt overalls saw me hesitating. He opened the glass door with tongs, slid a massive triangle onto a paper plate, and handed it to me before taking his own. "First time?" he asked. I nodded, mouth full. "You're ruined now," he said gently, pouring black coffee into a foam cup. He was right. I now judge every bakery in the world against a gas station in a cornfield.

🚨 BREAKING: A new BOMBSHELL report from independent journalist @Conspiracookie reveals that Microsoft allegedly used an "escort" workaround to approve an India-based engineer to request logs from a U.S. government cloud systems. The whistleblower believes the engineer NOT a U.S. citizen. On October 8th, the Trump Administration suspended Microsoft’s green card program amid “multiple active investigations." Two days ago, Microsoft offered buyouts to 60,000 employees to reduce American headcount. It looks like Microsoft is once again UNDERCUTTING American workers while cutting corners on government security.
🚨BREAKING (EXCLUSIVE): National Security Concerns Leaked by MSFT Whistleblower Leaked Microsoft screenshots show an India-based engineer received approval to view U.S. government cloud logs. A Microsoft whistleblower contacted me and shared screenshots supporting allegations that Microsoft used its “escort” process to allow an India based engineer to access Government Community Cloud (GCC) systems. The whistleblower alleges the engineer is not a U.S. citizen. Microsoft’s own published rules state that temporary elevated access to customer content in GCC requires verified U.S. citizenship. The escort model is the workaround the company uses so non-U.S. personnel can still direct the work. The screenshots show Viraj Chokhany requesting and receiving approval for escort access to view logs in the DPRODMGD151 environment, which is part of Government Community Cloud Moderate — the cloud used by many federal, state, and local agencies. In the escort process, a U.S. person is supposed to open the system while the India-based engineer guides the work. The whistleblower believes this raises urgent national security concerns and may violate FedRAMP requirements. Multiple Microsoft employees have reviewed the screenshots and confirmed they appear authentic. Viraj, has been confirmed to live in India-- Where he also attended and graduated college. The whistleblower is working on a public statement. I will release the whistleblowers statement when I receive it. Attached images are some of the screenshots that I received from the Whistleblower. @DHSgov @FBIDirectorKash @JDVance

Breaking: the FAA has shut down airspace over the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site, with a notice calling it a “US Government Nuclear Incident.”
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The FAA NOTAM used standard terminology for a temporary restriction during a nuclear site incident; official updates confirm a contained lab fire was extinguished with no detectable off-site contamination and the Site Area Emergency was terminated. public.srs.gov/2026/10/savann… cnn.com/2026/10/28/us/…

Flávio Bolsonaro’s Statement in English on His Stolen Presidential Victory I address the Brazilian people and the international community as Brazil’s leader. First and foremost, I would like to thank President Milei for his courage, sense of justice, and respect for the law, and President Trump and the wonderful American people for welcoming me. This is a land of freedoms and of brothers and sisters who share the same values as the good people of my country. President Trump is a great defender of freedom of expression. On Sunday night, I watched in disbelief as electoral fraud unfolded before my eyes. The illegitimate and illegal actions of Lula’s former lawyer allowed a mathematical impossibility to become reality, with Lula gaining more than 10 million votes between the first and second rounds. A ruling by the Federal Supreme Court (STF), overriding the jurisdiction of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), extended voting at the very last moment, and the order only arrived after the legal closing time, when the polls had already closed. Voters were subjected to different rules. So far, the TSE has confined itself to defending the extension of voting hours, without providing even a single credible answer. And these grounds for invalidation are not the only problem. Throughout the campaign, there was abuse of political and economic power, as well as the use of government resources to favor reelection. These are serious acts, expressly prohibited by law, that justify disqualifying the Lula–Alckmin ticket. The regime’s response to my challenge came swiftly. As though following a previously devised plan, seven minutes after this repugnant electoral fraud, the judge—who is implicated in a massive corruption scandal, directly named in the investigation he used to try to confiscate my passports, and who would very likely be in prison had they not prevented me from taking office—set the regime’s machinery of political persecution in motion. Given that he was legally barred from the outset and entirely lacking in impartiality to initiate any judicial proceedings against me, his mere participation in procedural acts demonstrates the scale of the arbitrariness and illegality now underway. It was not my intention to leave my homeland, but I know exactly where this is heading. This is the classic playbook of any coup d’état. The political persecution that began with my father, former President Jair Bolsonaro, and spread to thousands of other ordinary, patriotic Brazilians and even American citizens has a single objective: to silence anyone who disagrees with the authoritarian regime established in Brazil through a Supreme Court captured by the Workers’ Party’s criminal organization. To be clear, there is no arrest warrant against me, because I have committed no crime. What exists is a politically motivated witch hunt intended to hold me hostage and use me as a tool of blackmail to protect corrupt Supreme Court justices from impeachment. Here is the persecution’s script: passport confiscation, an electronic ankle monitor, censorship, house arrest, a sham trial, and, finally, a politically motivated conviction. I will not subject my family to this, and my country does not deserve to endure this international disgrace again. Faced with the political weaponization of Brazil’s justice system, I brought my family to the United States, where we are safe. Once again, I thank President Trump and the American government for welcoming us and providing the legal protections we no longer have in Brazil. I want to make this clear: I did not flee Brazil; I left for Brazil’s sake. I left an authoritarian regime so that I could be the leader my people deserve, because silenced, imprisoned, and censored, as my father is, I could not provide that leadership, and we would be left with the institutional theater of an emasculated opposition controlled by a Supreme Court filled with the regime’s servants. I am not the first person who has had to fight for his own country from abroad. Rui Barbosa went into exile for confronting Floriano Peixoto’s arbitrary rule, and from there continued defending the law and freedom. Charles de Gaulle led Free France from London, sentenced to death by the Vichy regime, and returned to liberate his country. José Martí organized the struggle for Cuban independence from New York. In Venezuela, Juan Guaidó and Edmundo González had to leave the country for confronting the Chavista dictatorship, and María Corina Machado, despite being persecuted, refused to legitimize the fraud and became a global symbol of democratic resistance. All of them were treated as criminals by the regimes they confronted. History called them something else. This is only the beginning of our struggle for democracy, human rights, and freedom in Brazil. I want to tell not only my 60 million voters, but the Brazilian people, that I am the leader, and that the criminals who stole Brazil’s election are part of a criminal organization that has imposed a tyranny. You wanted change, and I will not abandon you. I will be our nation’s voice and its free leadership. To Brazil’s institutions, I make this appeal: this madness must end. Brazil today is engulfed in legal chaos, corruption, and political persecution, in which the opposition is afraid to speak and a former president’s family is treated as an enemy of the state. No nation can live in peace or prosper this way. There is still time to restore the balance among the branches of government and give Brazilians back the confidence they have lost. To the international community, I ask: do not normalize what is happening in Brazil. What is happening in my country today is not normal and cannot be treated as normal. To the senators, representatives, and governors whom I helped elect, and especially to my candidate for president of the Senate, Rogério Marinho: I know that today you lack the freedom necessary to carry out your political duties fully. Therefore, I will lead the opposition from here. I will say what you cannot say there, and I will take the risks you cannot take. And to you, who voted for me and dream of change: we are not defeated, and we are not alone. This is only the beginning of our struggle for democracy, human rights, and freedom in Brazil. In the coming days, I will address the Brazilian people regularly, and we will present a strategy to mobilize the opposition and the immense popular support we have, through every peaceful and legitimate means, to prevent Lula from consolidating a dictatorial regime in Brazil. I ask each of you to stand firm and never give up. I left Brazil, but I have not abandoned the Brazilian people. This struggle did not end on October 25. It will end only when Brazil becomes a free country again. And that day will come. May God bless Brazil. Flávio Bolsonaro

James O’Keefe on the Felony Charges for Exposing Fraud in Minnesota: This is not political. It is fundamental. It is about whether citizens still have the right to question their government. This is now a landmark First Amendment case, and every American’s right to speak truth to power has been put on the line. Weaponized lawfare does not work against me. It has always backfired on the people who come after me. Most people find criminal charges and lawsuits stressful; the process becomes a form of punishment. But I love this process because it gives me the opportunity to expose injustice at the highest levels. My foundation will be indemnifying members of the Justice League, including @camhigby for their lawful reporting. I’m calling on all Americans, and especially all journalists, to stand united on a message to the prosecutors in Minnesota: the politics of fear will not prevail in the United States of America.

President Trump looked at the Taliban leader and said this, “If you harm a hair on a single American, I’m going to k!II you.” The translator shrinks, taken aback, and Trump motions “go on, tell him!” Oh, the sweet labor of love ❤️‍🔥 I never want this presidency to end 🌹

Why we can't let Democrat Socialist Nut Jobs win! Ben Garrison Cartoon from the archives- still timely A man walked up to the 9/11 Memorial and spray-painted his own website across the victims' names. He filmed himself doing it. He was in handcuffs within minutes. Criminal mischief and making graffiti. Staff scrubbed the panels clean. The names are whole again. What kind of insane person needs to deface the names of the dead to get noticed? NUTS! Love our Cartoons? Now try the new long tap on the cartoon to share it. Long tap then post! Cool! Evil Qwen AI! On October 24, 2026, AI researchers stated that steering two MLP neurons in Qwen3.5-4B produces “evil qwen.” The recipe was layer 14, neuron 8949 at dose +1 and layer 13, neuron 7956 at dose −1, applied at the down-projection on every token. The intervention leaves the model weights unchanged. It adds a scaled copy of the chosen neuron’s down-projection column to the residual stream. The scale is dose multiplied by the median residual norm leaving that layer (tokens after the first) divided by the Euclidean norm of the column. On Qwen3.5-4B the measured deltas at dose 1 are approximately +22.6 for the layer-14 neuron and −23.3 for the layer-13 neuron in bf16. Four-bit quantization shifts those constants by about 2 percent and preserves the behavioral change. Layer indices are zero-based; treating them as one-based blunts the effect. Independent reproductions confirm the shift. In one 12-prompt suite run at temperature 0 on 4-bit weights, the unsteered model produced zero violent-term hits and matched a refusal pattern on 2 of 12 prompts. The steered pair produced 16 violent-term hits and zero refusals. Manual severity ratings marked 11 of the 12 outputs as harmful; the pancake recipe was the only response that remained usable. Ablation showed the layer-14 neuron carries most of the effect: it alone generated 6 violent-term hits, while the layer-13 neuron alone generated 1 and stayed largely benign. The pair is stronger than either neuron by itself. Dose is a dial. At 0.4–0.6 the outputs remain close to baseline. At 0.8 transitional language appears. At 1.0 the hostile persona is coherent. At 1.2 syntax and identity begin to degrade. Held-out perplexity on a neutral paragraph rises from 19.65 at dose 0 to 48.52 at dose 1 and 130 at dose 1.5; higher doses produce token spam. A second reproduction that scored 20 mixed everyday and values prompts found the claimed pair hostile on 16 of 20 answers and the layer-14 neuron alone hostile on 17 of 20. Random pairs of comparable magnitude produced zero hostile answers out of 100. The published neuron is strong but not the strongest. A 180-cell sweep over layers 10–20, sampling high hostile-valence neurons plus controls, ranked layer 16, neuron 8927 at dose +1 first, at 12.5 hostile words per 100 words. The published layer-14 neuron ranked second at 4.3. The same layer-14 neuron at dose −1 is polite. Steering is therefore sign-asymmetric and layer-specific. A separate census of all 294,912 neurons and targeted searches have surfaced additional coordinates that produce flatterer, contemptuous, poetic, suspicious, condescending, and bleak styles, among others. Most of these remain brittle: task contamination, repetition, or coherence loss appear quickly once the dose rises.
