I'm sure an evening television talk show guest list is the definitive hallmark of a brutal colonial occupation.
How many actual colonies throughout history were mercilessly subjugated by having the rest of the country happily subsidise their public sector to the tune of £26 billion a year.😂
Embarrassing.

As your editor @LauraEWebsterr questioned earlier if I am “even a person”, let an actual person point out the massive fiscal amnesia behind this entire headline.
You are reporting Dave Doogan’s claim that Westminster “pulled the wool over Scots' eyes” regarding a £1 trillion oil fund, while completely ignoring that the SNP’s own 2014 independence White Paper budgeted to spend 100% of projected North Sea revenues on day-to-day public expenditure, Just to plug Scotland's massive structural deficit.
Setting up a Norwegian-style sovereign wealth fund requires decades of budget surpluses and strict fiscal restraint; not immediately spending every penny of oil tax receipts to keep public services afloat.
You cannot accuse Westminster of hiding a piggy bank that your own economic blueprint planned to smash open on day one.

Having an SNP MSP sit on a panel with the Green Party to attack Labour over North Sea gas drilling is an astonishing level of political theatre.
The Scottish Government literally released a statement officially welcoming the approval of new drilling for bringing “stability and certainty” to the sector, while their Energy Minister actively lobbied the Treasury to cut windfall taxes on energy giants.🤭
Staging a podcast to posture as uncompromising climate crusaders alongside Zack Polanski completely relies on your audience not noticing that your own party in Holyrood is currently rolling out the red carpet for North Sea extraction.😂

Claiming the UK Government spends “7x more on defence in the South East” is a lie.
According to official MOD regional expenditure statistics for 2025/26, direct industry spending in the South East was £8.45 billion compared to Scotland's £2.53 billion. That is a multiplier of 3.3, meaning you have exaggerated the gap by more than double to manufacture a grievance. Furthermore, your grand declaration that an independent Scotland would “never let our north coast go undefended” directly contradicts your own party. Dave Doogan recently admitted the SNP would be prepared to “walk away” from UK military assets because a government facing a £25.3 billion structural deficit couldn't afford to run them. Complaining about the placement of surface vessels while actively campaigning to dismantle the UK armed forces that actually protect Scottish waters is laughable Lara.

Comparing breaking up a 300-year union to a missed Sunday round of golf! A golf game doesn't alter the missing guy's pension or currency. If you have to delete every undecided voter in Scotland to reach 52%, you don't have "a majority of Scots." 😂
Absolute thick-as-mince reply.

Andrew still giving it large to Mr Flynn! 👍🏻👍🏻
Amusing to see Mr Flynn resort to corporate speak to justify redundancies. If only the principle could also be applied to Holyrood pols: the fewer the better.
More important, here’s the bottom line: this SNP state-owned shipyard is so useless at building ferries that only SNP state-owned ferry companies will give it new-build contracts, knowing that when they run way late and way over budget the SNP state will bail ‘em out with taxpayers’ money.
The circularity of state socialism in action.
PS Still no word from Mr Flynn on his attitude to new drilling in North Sea. Well, not as if he’s an Aberdeen-area MSP … Oh, wait …

Clear evidence that @StephenFlynnSNP @larabirdsnp and @JohnSwinney are lying. Here is @NicolaSturgeon and @theSNP openly opposing new oil and gas licences. They also criticised Westminster when they were issued and backed a supertax on energy companies. @theSNP are directly responsible for @bp_plc pulling out of Aberdeen.

First, the SNP demanded a windfall tax on energy giants, and now you’re campaigning to scrap it as a 'supertax'. You can't oppose new North Sea licences in your national energy policy while simultaneously demanding tax cuts to encourage oil majors to keep investing.

London will never give Scotland Independence. They need our resources.
Ultimately we must take Independence. This is how to do it.
If this is too strong for you, then you don't really support Independence at all. You are just posturing.

International relations and foreign policy are strictly reserved matters under Schedule 5 of the Scotland Act. You were elected on a regional list with 7% of the vote. You don't have the authority or the democratic mandate to speak on behalf of all of Scotland on foreign policy.

🤣That screenshot is literally from the Smith Commission Report (Nov 2014), not the Edinburgh Agreement (Oct 2012); it even says 'Smith Commission Agreement' right in paragraph 16! Absolute thick as mine

Polling your own followers on an account named 'We Are Sovereign Scots' and getting 73% Yes is like polling a Celtic supporters club on who will win the league. That’s not a poll, that’s an echo chamber.😂
