ppl on bringing up the ao3 download button to make authors look stupid when in reality the overwhelming majority of writers are talking about uploading fics to the google drive without permission and i think it actually says a lot that you need to twist the narrative so much

"Don't repost my art" and "Don't reupload my fic" are the same thing, I'm confused as to why people are surprised that authors are defensive and protective of their works the same way artists are.

Losing followers over saying you shouldn't re-upload fic authors' work into a Google drive and mass share it lmao

this! while i prefer to be asked (because i'm happy to send you epubs/pdfs), it really isn't the uploading that's the worst part - it's the entitlement and the attitude? you do realize that even if the authors you're bullying aren't the ones you "care about", inevitably+

This is so purposely obtuse. There are real writers behind these fics and no matter how popular they are they have the rights to their work and you should be asking permission to redistribute them ESPECIALLY since this is a temporary outage

people on the comments saying “then delete them” like they aren’t the ones sobbing and shitting themselves about ao3 going down lol
⭐️Evie💖💙 C☆mms Open | Fan retweeted
People on here talking about missing their daily kudos email and I’m like “daily? Kudos?? Email?????”
⭐️Evie💖💙 C☆mms Open | Fan retweeted
Got sent this and literally made an acc just to comment because yeah, as a fanfic writer I'm not cool with my fic being reuploaded like this, and seeing fellow fic writers dogpiled just for saying they're not comfortable is pissing me off... (1/20)
WHAT TO DO WHILE AO3 IS DOWN - MASTERPOST

PSA //
here’s a PSA to start cropping images in your album app instead of using twitter’s crop cause they are putting an ugly ass label now and making people think it’s g/rok which fucking sucks!!
