Nasiphi Moya, I’m glad that the carefully manufactured image is finally being tested against reality. You rode a wave of public goodwill, helped by a slick PR and media team that portrayed you as Tshwane’s miracle worker. The praise went to your head, and suddenly you were a celebrity instead of a politician who still had to prove herself. You even took credit for projects already underway under @CilliersB's administration, where you served as deputy mayor. Finishing someone else’s work is part of the job, not a reason to behave like you reinvented service delivery. Now look at Tshwane’s water crisis, including the Bronkhorstspruit contamination linked to hundreds of reported gastrointestinal illness cases and serious failures in water chlorination. People’s health and dignity are at stake. Metsi ke bophelo (Water is life). Residents cannot drink your PR, flush their toilets with your media coverage or fill their empty tanks with political slogans. Botumo ha bo tlatse tanka ya metsi (Fame does not fill a water tank). You cannot build a political legacy on publicity while residents struggle with basic services. Tshwane residents must judge you on results, not social-media praise. You are not entitled to five more years simply because people once celebrated you. If your administration cannot demonstrate meaningful improvement and take responsibility for these failures, you should seriously consider whether you deserve to remain in office. #VoetsekActionSA

[WATCH] THE WORK OF COUNCILLORS IS VERY HARD AND THE ANC COUNCILLORS ARE READY FOR THE TASK AT HAND We must be focused comrades instead of being obsessed with positions, now we must be focused on elections nothing else. The organisation must not die because of an obsession with positions. Being a councillor is not an easy task, when people complain about water issues, roads, the first person they go to is the local councillor. The work of councillors is very hard indeed comrades because they are at the coal face of our people’s day to day struggle. #MbalulaInEasternCape #VoteANC2026 #BuildingCommunitiesTogether

Now we learn that Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie has a financial interest in Ticketpro which has exclusivity with CSA and SAFA. The conflict of interest is blindingly obvious. Well done to SA20 organisers for terminating its relationship with Ticketpro.

Gauteng had already spent R118.8 million on its e-Panic Button programme but has only distributed 2,000 devices, which cost R908.50 each. Lesufi must tell us and Parliament, where is the other R117,185,000.00 Has it gone to meet the R450m vinegar water scam.

Action SA Mayor Moya Tshwane , on ignoring warnings and letting unchlorinated water flow for weeks — sickening hundreds, mostly small children: “We had an action plan, but we didn’t implement it.” Brilliant. ActionSA had a whole plan sitting right there. They simply chose not to use it. Peak governance. The irony is exquisite, Dr.

Driving home, the traffic lights at the biggest intersection in Sandton still not working for 5 weeks. Road lanes are impossible to identify because they are not painted and the streets are dark because the street lights have not worked for months. Voting ANC will kill Joburg.

“African National Congress President Cyril Ramaphosa says he is confident the party will secure a resounding victory in the municipalities of the Eastern Cape in the upcoming Local Government Elections,” the SABC reports. He’s right. The Eastern Cape is among the country’s poorest provinces, yet the ANC still commands the strongest support there. When will Eastern Cape’s people wake up? They’ve voted for the ANC since 1994.

The Inglorious Movement that promised to uplift black SA's has instead driven them into dire poverty. Cyril Ramaphosa would rather let South Africans lose jobs and become poorer than condemn Kill the Boer and fight rural crime newsday.co.za/south-africa/2…

I can't wait for this man to go. Our country deserves better. South Africans are poorer than they were when he took office. Dismal economic growth, rising unemployment and shocking murder rates under his presidency.

On what to you base your confidence @GwedeMantashe1 Many, if not most of your ANC council controlled municipalities have regressed and failed. What will change now? Stop the drivel and try make sense man!!!
We are confident that ANC councillors will constitute effective & functional councils that serve communities with dedication & commitment. We also welcome today’s Constitutional Court ruling on the ANC candidates, reaffirming the importance of upholding the rule of law.

Lamola has the grasp on geopolitics of a dull first year student. Africa isn't owed wealth or respect. No country is. You either earn it by ingenuity, hard work and multi generational forward planning or you don't. Like Cyril, he's just a petulant beggar. citizen.co.za/news/lamola-wa…

What time is it? Oh yes, it’s election time. The flurry of maintenance, trimming of trees (hanging low over roads, sidewalks and signage), that happens every 5-years, which the @CityofJoburgZA wants us to be grateful for. Fools.

The South African government has formally threatened to sue every citizen still accusing it of hating them, calling the claims “malicious, defamatory, and frankly quite rude.” In a lengthy statement issued from a building that still has working lifts, the government clarified that decades of corruption, load-shedding, collapsing infrastructure, unemployment, and potholes the size of small dams should not be taken personally. “We have never once said we hate South Africans,” President Cyril “Cupcake” Ramaphosa told reporters. “We have simply allowed conditions to deteriorate to the point where many of you are now saying it for us. That’s different.” Citizens have been given 48 hours to delete the accusations, issue a public apology, and post a video acknowledging that the government loves them unconditionally — preferably while standing in a queue for water or electricity. Anyone who refuses will be hit with a R1 million defamation claim for the emotional distress caused to officials. Those unable to pay will be sentenced to six years in prison, or until Eskom is fixed, whichever comes last. To show it means business, the government has redirected R500 million originally budgeted for fixing things into a special “Stop Being Mean To Us” legal fund. Officials say they are prepared to prosecute all 63 million South Africans if necessary, adding that this would at least solve the unemployment statistics in the short term.
