Why do you think he's been so successful at GCP?

It's all brainless slop. Haven't watched a series in almost 2 years now? HBO and Apple much higher quality.

Umm.. this is basically how every general purpose technology in history has scaled? Startups sell to other startups? Eg. cloud infrastructure. Eventually larger enterprises adopt and some of those startups scale up.

Still got the critical choke points though :\

Thanks Tomas. Does this align with manufacturing capacity of AV enabled cars? Assuming Waymo is 1P and not licensed, I was under the impression that planning capacity isn't there with 3-4 year lead times.

I can’t think of anything more French than burning cars and looting stores. Isn’t this actually a sign of successful assimilation? 😂

Ben I think the bigger picture context here is that NVIDIA is obviously getting to get sued for anti competitive behaviour via their exclusive contracts and this will be used as evidence in the lawsuit (not arguing right or wrong just pointing it out.

Pricing power = the ability to maintain or raise high prices without losing market share. Anthropic is losing market share.. so I’d argue they don’t have pricing power.

Assume ANT and OAI add $30B in ARR in Q4 ($60B total). ANT exits at ~$100B and OAI ~$80B. If each Q sees some moderate QoQ absolute growth (still a slow down in YoY growth), you end somewhere between $550B and $625B in ARR in 27. Lots to go wrong but demand is there.

Unless something has changed, the take rate is not a flat %. What the consumer pays and what the driver is paid is completely decoupled and dynamic. Eg. in some rides, driver gets paid majority of the fare. What you see in filings is blended.

Eric I'm surprised your endorsing large sweeping rent control given it would absolutely crush new housing supply.

@jayparsons seems like multi-family would be down regardless of the data center build out given supply?

I'm actually curious as to what the young Bezos would have done in this situation?

I’m sorry but this such a naive POV of the world? There are innocent civilians being killed in the Ukraine everyday.. are you arguing we shouldn’t build technology to protect them?

My POV today is the war lasts at least until mid 2028 (new regime post election), with periodic flare ups (e.g. attacks on production and refining). Trump is greatly underestimating the IRGCs resolve.
