Last Sunday, RPSA, with University of Rwanda and NYANDAZA SMART HEALTH CARE, held an outreach at ICYERU Health Post, Huye, on Rational Use of Medicines. NCD screening found ~40% of patients with high blood pressure. Thank you, UR! 🇷🇼

We are pleased that our Executive Director, Phn.@Mbalphonse1 , contributed as a speaker to the Rwanda Pharmacy Workforce Readiness Enhancement Program on 22 October 2026 at Centric Hotel, Kigali.
His session, “Workforce wellness and chronic disease prevention: A guide for early-career pharmacists,” highlighted the importance of protecting health throughout working life, with a focus on NCD prevention, reducing sedentary behaviour, physical activity, and knowing one’s health status.
He encouraged early-career pharmacists to prioritize their own well-being while championing prevention in the communities they serve.
We thank Vennue Foundation, @RwandaNPC , and @Uni_Rwanda for creating this opportunity to support Rwanda’s pharmacy workforce.
A healthy workforce starts with making well-being a daily priority.

Knowing your numbers can be the first step towards better health. We joined Kabutare Hospital and @HuyeDistrict at @GSOBIndatwa for #NCDs screenings where we measured blood pressure, blood glucose and BMI, alongside health education and counselling.

Today, RBC, in collaboration with partners, concluded a 5-day workshop on #clinicaltrial management for researchers and healthcare professionals from clinical trial units at five health facilities: @RwaMilitaryHosp, @chu_butare , @kfaisalhospital , and @ughe_org -AVEGA.
The training strengthens local capacity to conduct high-quality clinical trials, generate reliable evidence, and support better health outcomes.
This is an important step toward building these facilities into Centers of Excellence for Clinical Trials in the region. By strengthening research skills and infrastructure, #Rwanda is advancing its ambition to become a destination of choice for cutting-edge #medicalresearch, while building a stronger, sustainable clinical research ecosystem that benefits Rwanda and beyond.

Today, RBC Director General @CMuvunyi officially launched Stage 2 of the Partnership Research on Marburg Virus (PREMAV), a collaboration between RBC, @CEPIvaccines, and local and international research partners to advance research on #Marburg virus disease (MVD).
Prof. Muvunyi underlined the role of research in generating evidence that translates into better tools to prevent, detect, and treat MVD, and in deepening our understanding of its long-term effects and the body's immune response.
PREMAV Stage 2 will strengthen #Rwanda's capacity for #MVD and other viral hemorrhagic fever research and preparedness, helping protect communities and advance health security in Rwanda, across #Africa, and beyond.
