This week in @thetimes Men who ran the Dublin Marathon under women’s bibs have been given lifetime bans.
Organisers were right to protect the female category.
Male runners in the female category distort results & erase the purpose of a protected women’s race.
Sex differences in performance are real & significant.
Self-ID policies have distorted the distinction between men & women and leads to situations like this.
Fairness & safety requires sex-based categories, and self-declaration interferes with that.

🚨 REVEALED: Benjamin (Lisa) Jones, a ‘trans-identifying’ serial sex offender whose victims include multiple women and his own six-year-old daughter, was recognised as a “woman” and housed in the Dame Phyllis Frost women’s prison under the @VictorianLabor government - despite female inmates begging authorities to remove him.
He has since gone on to offend again in NSW but will be eligible for parole on 21 November.
Under federal and state laws, his claimed gender identity will legally give him access women’s spaces and services including bathrooms and change rooms.

It’s a disgrace and it’s time to fix the law. Amend the Sex Discrimination Act to protect women on the basis of sex, and fix all state legislation that recognises males as women.
