Man United thought he wasn't ready for the first team because of Tyrell Malacia. To make it even more frustrating, United sought a Tottenham reject on loan when Malacia and Shaw got injured.
Same situation now with Harry Amass

🚨 Kaveh Solhekol has delivered a scathing assessment of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's leadership at Manchester United:
🗣️ "I'm going to tell you who's responsible for this situation. It's Jim Ratcliffe.
"He bought just 29% of Manchester United, allowing the Glazers to remain in control while taking responsibility for football operations himself.
"He arrived believing he knew better than everyone else how to run the club, and look where United are two and a half years later.
"He backed Erik ten Hag publicly while speaking to other managers behind his back. When he couldn't find a replacement, he gave Ten Hag a new contract and money to spend, only to sack him shortly afterwards.
"Then they paid a fortune to bring Ruben Amorim in midway through the season, despite him wanting to wait until the summer and playing a completely different system.
"Dan Ashworth opposed the appointment and ended up leaving. United backed Amorim, that failed, and they sacked him too.
"They appointed Michael Carrick as interim manager, saw results improve and then handed him the permanent job.
"Meanwhile, Ratcliffe has introduced restrictions on wages and transfer fees, ruled out expensive signings and adopted a recruitment strategy that changes priorities from one window to the next.
"One summer it's forwards, the next it's midfielders, then defenders. They've also decided to prioritise players with Premier League experience.
"This is Jim Ratcliffe's vision for Manchester United. These are his decisions, and he is responsible for the situation the club finds itself in."

❤️ My beautiful boy deserves to be remembered with love, not hate. ❤️
Yesterday, a Coventry fan used a photograph of Bradley to taunt Sunderland supporters.
As Bradley’s mam, this is heartbreaking, especially as it’s one of my favourite photographs of him. Just look at that smile.
I remember that day like it was yesterday. He was so happy, having so much fun. Those moments were precious because they were few and far between. So much of Bradley’s short life was spent battling cancer and enduring treatments no child should ever face.
To see such a beautiful memory used in such a cruel way really does make my heart hurt. 💔
We are a football-loving family who follow Sunderland home and away. I’m all for football banter, but surely mocking a child who died from cancer is not banter?
I hope the club takes appropriate action and the young lad’s family help him understand how hurtful his actions were. I don’t want hatred directed towards him, so please please don't, just for him to learn from this.
Behind that photograph is a little boy who was loved beyond measure and a family who miss him every day.
Thank you to everyone who has defended Bradley and shown us so much love. It means more than you know. ❤️
What some people don’t realise is that Bradley’s story didn’t end when his life did.
Because of Bradley, children’s lives are being saved, hundreds of families have received vital support, and children facing unimaginable battles are being given hope.
Through Super Brad’s Pad, families can escape hospital life, spend precious time together and make memories that last forever.
That is Bradley’s legacy. The difference my little boy continues to make in this world. No amount of cruelty will ever take that away.
So rather than let this photograph be remembered for hatred, I want it remembered for what it truly represents.
My beautiful little boy, enjoying one of the happiest days of his life, with the biggest smile on his face. 💙
That is how I want the world to remember him.

Manchester United need to be freed of the yoke of the Glazers. That’s obvious. Been saying it since 2005. But how? It’s difficult to force regime change. A few United fans suggesting they’d welcome relegation as it would make the Glazers consider selling up. It might make them more likely to hold on as a PL club worth far more than EFL. A few fans suggesting a boycott of games - but why should loyal fans stop watching their team? And the club could simply get tourists in if a few games missed.
A boycott of the megastore and catering is obvious (and already done by some fans) but that would also hit staff and temporary workers. Chants and banners make a point to the world how reviled the absentee Glazers are. But probably won’t worry the distant Glazers. They can point to money invested in transfers (and spent badly) but it’s not their personal money. It’s money generated by the fans.
United have some very influential fans’ groups, fanzines, forums and pods. Would lobbying the Independent Football Regulator about whether the Glazers are “fit and proper owners” (in old parlance) have any effect? At the very least, there is a strong case for lobbying the IFR and Government about updating legislation to preclude debt-based takeovers (the IFR has an advisory role to Parliament).
It’s certainly a national embarrassment that the most high-profile representative of the national sport has such substantial debt and such deeply unpopular owners associated with it. Sadly, like a stubborn stain, the Glazers will take some shifting. #MUFC
