If we want to go down the highway of innovation quickly, we need a brake installed. Our AI Kill Switch Act gives us the ability to throttle back, pause, or stop frontier AI systems in an emergency.
🎥 @CNN
.@CherylHines on Fox News’ @OutnumberedFNC: for every person you see on screen, thousands work behind the camera. Our bipartisan bill brings those jobs back to the U.S., including to rural America. That is what this bill is for!
My office is hiring an Artificial Intelligence Policy Fellow to help shape AI legislation and track AI developments in the private sector as Congress works to keep pace with the technology.
Experience in AI, policy research, or national security is encouraged.
The new fellow being hired by @RepNateMoran looks set to be the only staffer recruited directly by a member of Congress to focus exclusively on AI

The balanced budget amendment from @SenJonHusted and @RepNateMoran is simple and smart:
☑️ Balance over time, not every year.
☑️ Interest expense can be excluded.
☑️ Two-thirds of Congress to borrow for emergencies.
☑️ Ten years to reach balance after ratification.
I joined @asp for a candid conversation on how government can address artificial intelligence the right way. America should lead in AI, and commonsense safeguards help us do that without slowing innovation.

Proud to stand with @VP in the fight to protect Americans from fraud. Hardworking taxpayers fund these programs for those who truly need them, and it’s on us to make sure that money isn’t stolen by fraudsters.
Here in East Texas, we’re backing this pledge and doing everything in our power to protect taxpayer dollars and the vulnerable Americans these programs were built to serve.

ICYMI: Hollywood’s jobs are heading overseas. Congress wants to change that.
As @RepNateMoran put it: “If we want to keep American storytelling in America, we have to level the playing field.”

Sign the pledge below and join us in the War Against Fraud.
Do you hate fraud?
If so, I’m calling on you to join me in taking the pledge to protect Americans from fraudsters, by doing everything in your power to ensure that:
1. Vulnerable Americans, such as the elderly, indigent, and disabled, are protected from fraudsters who seek to prey on them.
2. Taxpayer-funded programs serve law-abiding Americans, not illegal aliens or fraudsters.
3. Taxpayer-funded benefits are not used by fraudsters to buy mansions or luxury cars.
4. Public agencies and officials work tirelessly and aggressively, coordinating at all levels of government, to stop fraud before payments go out the door.
5. Fraudsters face justice for their crimes in a court of law. Convicted fraudsters will be imprisoned and barred from ever receiving another penny of taxpayer dollars.
6. Illegal alien fraudsters are promptly arrested, prosecuted, imprisoned, and deported, never able to take advantage of Americans’ generosity again.
This bill is extremely important to send a message that American storytelling does not just happen in California or New York. It happens all over America, including rural America.

Last August, I stood at the Nova festival site, where more than 350 young people were murdered on October 7. We heard from a young survivor rebuilding her life. Three years on, the pain remains, and so does a desire for peace. We remember every life lost. I ask for your prayers.
Today I asked a Pennsylvania manufacturer if the tax code decides whether the next investment dollar lands here or overseas.
Her answer: expensing means every dollar invested here starts paying back the same year. That's the edge we need against China. As a member of both @ChinaSelect & @WaysandMeansGOP, this is the fight I'm here for.
I waited tables growing up in Tyler, Texas at Mercado's, and went back to work a shift this August. So when a Memphis restaurant owner testifies his 30 employees are saving ~$1,800/year under No Tax on Tips, it's personal. Real money for work I remember doing myself.
Grateful for the kind words from Chairman @RepJasonSmith today, but the real credit belongs to the 29 million Americans who no longer pay taxes on their overtime. That's what the One, Big, Beautiful Bill is about.

Today, the Ways and Means Committee is at the Orgill Innovation Center in Memphis, Tennessee to hear from working families and job creators, the same people who helped us craft the Working Families Tax Cuts.
Over 1 year later, Americans are seeing the benefits of pro-growth, pro-worker tax policy, and today, we’ll hear their stories.

We're honored to share this message from @RepNateMoran as we head into the Texarkana Walk tomorrow. His work cosponsoring the bipartisan #ASAPAct is advancing access to early blood-based screening and timely diagnosis and care. Thank you for helping in the fight to #ENDALZ.
Turning American innovation into American power. Proud to join @Saronic, @VP, and Gov. @GregAbbott_TX at the Port Alpha groundbreaking — 10,000 jobs over 10 years and more than $3 Billion in investment right here in Texas.
America's shipbuilding comeback starts now. 🇺🇸⚓
I'm encouraged by the dialogue and the Joint Commitment from President Trump's historic meeting with Tech leaders today.
Safety and innovation in AI can—and must—co-exist. And, this meeting proved that there is a determined group inside and outside of government committed to make sure both happen.
Through prudence, innovation, grit, and pure American exceptionalism, the United States has been solving problems for 250 years instead of shying away from them.
There’s no need to stop now. Responsibly, we can innovate and dominate when it comes to AI. Press on.
In order for you to drive your vehicle as fast as you can down the interstate of innovation, you have to have a brake in it.
