Gained 2.5 KG on my bench in less than 1 month thanks to @jbryanmann APRE 10 and the dynamic effort method (3 times a week benching). Previously I was stuck for 12 weeks and it sucked. @RepOneStrength tracker has helped a tonne too!

I highly recommend it. My training is similar. Though, I’ve moved away from just the pure lifts lately. I have found that velocity based training has been a huge help to avoid burnout from lifting. I recommend @wilfleming’s book: amazon.com/Velocity-Based-Tr…

Velocity based training can help coaches determine the necessary load and volume > less injury > more time on the field @RepOneStrength
A hill I will die on is that most team sport athletes need less volume in the weight room than more.

Really loving training with velocity. These are two months apart. Same weight but much faster and for an additional rep. I haven’t done anything “heavy” in the intervening time. Excited to see what happens if/when I do try for a max. Shout out to @wilfleming and @RepOneStrength

Replying to @RepOneStrength
@RepOneStrength is a platform building tools to give trainers real-time, individualized guidance during workouts to scale interactions to a massive client base. Jordan Berke spoke about that today!

Two more @RepOneStrength VBT units coming in July as well, then new trap bars and a belt squat👀
A 2nd @TrackManBB B1 unit? Hey, why not. Always excited to invest in our athletes and create a more efficient training experience and feedback loop. No more sitting around for “THE” Trackman mound. @PowerPerLab @PBRKentucky @JamieTessoff @cfulii @G1999Sean @Zcontraining

Purely anecdotal but we did Olympic lifting for the first half of the season & our sprint times didn’t do much. Switched to velocity based trap bar jumps using @RepOneStrength and our times have dropped massively. Maybe @jbryanmann was onto something 🤔… – at Pensacola, FL

After this 3 week wave, my final session told me for the response I was hoping to accomplish, 160#’s AccRes was too much for me to handle. Next wave I will go 80,100,120#’s & see where that takes me! @YorkStrength17 @RepOneStrength @jbryanmann Now we switch bars & collect

I track Peak Velocity on Deadlifts, Olympic Lifts, or any movement that begins from a dead stop! Here is my Peak data from my DEI Deadlift session. Pretty solid numbers for me. @jbryanmann @RepOneStrength @MashElite

I forgot my @RepOneStrength and I had to use a REALLY popular accelerometer based unit that was in my bag. It missed at least 1/2 of all reps completed and the speeds between reps varied wildly. I do not like accelerometers for VBT.

I’ve done % training, daily RM’s, and RPE. In terms of prescribing effort and loading, velocities are superior to all of them. With the availability of LPT units like @RepOneStrength for cheap it’s a viable solution for nearly any program.

And to further that attempt of sharing my internal monologue here is the thing currently living rent free in my head. Can't wait to tinker with it later @RepOneStrength

The foundation a program is built upon sets the stage for the development of its players, and at @Ottawa_Baseball there’s no doubt we’re invested in our development! Take a look at everything we use to help our players get to the next level!

Our @reponestrength units are here! These will be a game changer when we’re talking intent with our athletes. Instant feedback+creating competition is an easy way to drive purpose behind every rep! We’ll be competing in the racks, teammate vs teammate. WAKE ME UP WHEN SUMMER ENDS!
