Four years.
Every day since #Dobbs has only reminded us of the urgency & the stakes of our fight.
Today, we honor those harmed and lost because politicians stood between them & their health care. And we vow to keep fighting for a more just tomorrow.

Women across the country are suffering from complications tied to healthcare restrictions every day. Doctors who provide life-saving care are being attacked. Women are forced to travel further for care that should be widely accessible.
New Mexico has worked to protect reproductive rights and fought for women. I will continue to fight for access to the life-saving care that we all deserve.
Thank you, Planned Parenthood, for all that you do and for this award.

An incredibly scary attack on a health care facility in our community. Patients, providers, & clinic staff shouldn’t have to live in fear of violence like this. I’m grateful everyone is ok & hope the perpetrator will face justice. seattletimes.com/seattle-new…

Abortion restrictions are harmful policy and deeply unpopular, and Republicans know it.
As Co-Chair of the @ReproCaucus, I'll always fight to protect and expand abortion access like the human right that it is.
SCOOP: White House officials, led by Susie Wiles, have told DOJ to delay any abortion-related action until after the midterms
Wiles suggested to Todd Blanche that an aggressive approach on abortion would be negative for the GOP in November

Today marks 50 years of harm, hardship, and uncertainty under the Hyde Amendment. Since its adoption in 1976, the Hyde Amendment has relentlessly and brutally restricted a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions. Its vile legacy can be seen in the countless women it has affected over this painful past century, as well as in every regression in this nation that its very existence has made possible. Indeed, the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and deny millions of women their right to an abortion could only have arrived in the wake of a post-Hyde America, where women’s autonomy has remained under siege, and our personal medical decisions are offered to all hands but our own.

An ectopic pregnancy (when the fertilized egg implants outside the uterus) should not be a death sentence. By interfering with emergency treatment, GOP abortion bans can be just that. Doctors already face the threat of prosecution in TX, now the TX GOP Platform even urges prosecution of women.

For too long - 50 years - Hyde Amendment has denied us essential reproductive healthcare. Decisions about our well-being and when to access abortion care are healthcare decisions that belong to women and those who can get pregnant.
We MUST pass the EACH Act, repeal the Hyde Amendment, and expand access to comprehensive reproductive care!
Reproductive Freedom Caucus retweeted
The choice to have an abortion should be between a woman and her doctor — not politicians.
Sadly, in the 50 years since the restrictive Hyde Amendment was passed, even more women have faced barriers to accessing reproductive care because Republicans have decided to wage a war to control our bodies.

A woman’s reproductive freedom shouldn’t depend on her paycheck or the kind of health insurance she has.
For 50 years, the Hyde Amendment has put abortion care out of reach for many low-income women who rely on Medicaid coverage.
Everyone should have the freedom to make their own deeply personal health care decisions, regardless of income.

It’s been 50 long years since Congress first passed the Hyde Amendment, denying critical reproductive health coverage to people enrolled in Medicaid and other federal health programs. But the tide has changed, and a recent poll by Hart Research found that more than two-thirds of voters support Medicaid coverage for abortion.
I am proud to be part of the effort to end the Hyde Amendment for good as a cosponsor of the EACH Act along with more than 200 of my @HouseDemocrats colleagues. It’s past time to ensure all Americans have access to the healthcare regardless of income or insurance.

Today marks 50 years of the Hyde Amendment.
For 50 years, Hyde has denied abortion coverage to millions of people who rely on Medicaid and other federally funded health care.
We cannot talk about protecting women while denying low-income and working-class people the care they need.
Abortion care is health care. End Hyde.

The Hyde Amendment makes women on Medicaid hostage to their geography and denies access to abortion coverage.
As Chair of @AppropsDems in 2021 and 2022, I fought to take Hyde out of the House bills.
50 years is 50 too many.

For the past 50 years, the Hyde Amendment has banned the use of federal funds for abortion care. Now is the time to end Hyde and let decisions be made by patients and providers, not politicians.

For 50 years, the #HydeAmendment has stripped away essential healthcare by denying abortion coverage to those who need it the most. Congress must step in to reverse this restriction.
That’s why I support @reppressley’s EACH Act to end this harmful policy.

Today marks 50 years of the Hyde Amendment.
It prevents federal funds from being used for abortions, which really just means folks on programs like Medicaid can't access the same care as everyone else.
That's why I'm a cosponsor of the EACH Act to end Hyde once and for all.

The Hyde Amendment blocks federal funds from being used for abortion care.
This means women on Medicaid have to pay for abortion care out-of-pocket, making access to abortion dependent on economic status.
The Hyde Amendment is discriminatory, and it’s past time we repeal it.

For 50 years, the Hyde Amendment has blocked insurance coverage for abortions.
As a member of the @ReproCaucus, I am proud to cosponsor the EACH Act, which finally puts an end to the Hyde Amendment and keeps healthcare decisions between a woman and her healthcare provider.
50 years ago today, the Hyde Amendment was included in our federal spending bill for the first time. Every day since, for half a century, abortion care has been baselessly set apart from all other health care. #EndHydeNOW

50 years of harm, injustice, & politicians obstructing our bodily autonomy.
Our EACH Act—which has a record 201 cosponsors—would repeal Hyde & end federal funding restriction on abortion coverage, ensuring access to essential healthcare regardless of income.

For 50 years, the Hyde Amendment has denied low-income women the freedom to access abortion care simply because they can't afford it.
The Hyde Amendment is discriminatory, period. No one should be denied the health care they need because of their income.
Health care is a human right. It’s time to repeal Hyde.

3 years after the successful passage of Roe v. Wade, our country passed the Hyde Amendment for the first time – ending abortion coverage for women on Medicaid across the nation, disproportionately affecting Black and Brown women.
Simply put: Hyde discriminates against low-income, women of color, and our fight to expand reproductive freedom and secure abortion access must continue.
That’s why I introduced The State Offices of Women’s Health and Expansion Act this Congress, which aims to fund reproductive care in every state, and ensure we fulfill the vision of reproductive justice for ALL WOMEN.
