The largest synagogue in the state of Michigan released a statement yesterday saying an ad by "Rebellion PAC" in support of Abdul El-Sayed is antisemitic, calling upon politicians to denounce it. Full statement below from Temple Israel, the same place attacked by a Hizballah-inspired extremist earlier this year: --------------------- “In a place where there is no humanity, strive to be human.” (Hillel, Pirkei Avot 2:5) This week, Rebellion PAC circulated an advertisement in Michigan’s U.S. Senate race in which a couple struggles to afford groceries and viewers are told that the world’s only Jewish state is to blame. This is antisemitism, plain and simple, built on one of history’s oldest and most dangerous lies. Antisemitism is not a matter of left or right, and in moments like this, silence is not neutral. We call on every political leader in Michigan on every side of the aisle to name this ad for what it is and refuse to normalize its message. We ask our neighbors of every faith and background to stand with us and use their voices to denounce this rhetoric. And we ask our own community to stay strong, to speak up, and to keep standing against hatred in any form. We will choose to be human and continue making a difference. -The Clergy and Leadership of Temple Israel

NEW from me Abdul El-Sayed’s father sits on the board of a charity that was busted by the feds for funneling cash to Saddam Hussein just before the Iraq War—and whose offices were raided by both the FBI and the U.S. military freebeacon.com/democrats/abd…

The responses to Isaac are the epitome of a pernicious fallacy in politics called relative privation. What many call "whataboutism" is actually this oftentimes: A guilty party minimizes its behavior by judging it against the behavior of its opponent instead of a neutral standard.
It's incredible watching people on the left defend the Dan Sullivan stuff in Alaska. Yes, Republicans do dirty politics, too! Yes, Trump denies the results of elections! Yes, it might even be legal! But you just handed Trump actual, legit ammunition to further undermine trust in elections. You are abandoning the moral high ground. Peltola now has to answer for this, which may hurt her odds in an election, so it's going to cost you politically also. Which on top of it being immoral, scummy, and unethical, makes it bad politics and a total own-goal. If you want to talk about the sanctity and integrity of the democratic process, don't go recruit candidates for the sole purpose of fooling voters! There's no defense. Just condemn all of it.

A dark day for democracy to attack journalists for reporting. Textbook fascism. Real dark stuff. Troubling. Freedom died a little today.

At a rally in Soldotna today, US Senate candidate Mary Peltola said the media’s focus should be on Alaska’s high cost of living and Sen. Sullivan’s support of the war in Iran — not who is on the ballot. “Nobody at the New York Times cares about affordability in Alaska.”

Imagine if LSU had to play 9 games at 3:30. The toll that would take on their bodies is indescribable.
NEW: Lane Kiffin on LSU-Alabama getting the 2:30 p.m. CT slot instead of the night game he expected: "If someone thinks the SEC wants us to win this year after what’s been going on, they must have just been on Mars the last four months. So I guess when I look at it that way, I’m not surprised." on3.com/news/lane-kiffin-tak…

If someone doesn't want to be a source for a news story, you aren't allowed to mention them and you aren't allowed to use any of the information they gave you before they changed their mind. NYT is in big trouble here.
Seriously NYT? "Last week, as The Times prepared to publish this article, Ms. Rios, who had been planning to file a wrongful termination lawsuit against the Peltola campaign, contacted The Times and said she wanted to take back her previous statements. “As discussed on our call earlier today, I am confirming that I have retracted all statements made regarding the 2026 Alaska Senate Race in connection with any article you may or may not be writing,” Ms. Rios wrote. “I am not willing to be a source for any story in any capacity.” It is rare for a source to seek to retract comments made in previous interviews, and The Times’s standards do not obligate reporters to comply with such requests. The Times had never agreed that those previous interviews could not be published, and informed Ms. Rios last week that they would be a part of this story."

Huerta actively enabled and covered up for Cesar Chavez’s many many sexual transgressions, including transgressions against multiple minors and against herself, because she didn’t want to harm “the cause”. She was an enabler of the worst kind, I’m sorry she’s died but also “feminist and civil rights icon” is a eulogy she doesn’t deserve

The LSU legal battle is really bringing out some of the wildest lawyer quotes we’ve seen in a while
RJ Luis is temporarily eligible to suit up for Will Wade and LSU basketball without any repercussions from the SEC. Spoke to Luis' attorney about how this happened, their legal plans, etc. "LSU may be intimidated by ‘Kim Jong’ Sankey, but we're not." nola.com/sports/lsu/lsu-bask…

Since Texas joined the SEC, this crew has been the worst. With referee Daniel Gautreaux, Texas averages 11 flags and 111 penalty yards a game (4 games). Every other game: 55 yards. Three of UT’s six worst penalty games came with this crew. @orangebloods_ orangebloods.com/2026/10/28/…
