Helping people find treatment and a path to recovery means stronger families and a stronger community. I’m honored to receive the Legislative Leadership Award from Addiction Professionals of North Carolina for my work expanding access to substance use services. Here at home, I helped lead the push for $6 million to build Coastal Horizons’ Behavioral Health Urgent Care, giving people in crisis somewhere to turn beyond an emergency room or a jail cell. Thank you to APNC and the professionals who do this lifesaving work every day. I’ll keep working to ensure more North Carolinians can get the care and support they need.

They filmed the Super Bowl Shuffle before they won it. Sunglasses, fog machine, linemen on sax. Ditka let them do it and they still blew out New England 46–10. Rest in peace, Mike Ditka. Nobody’s shuffling like that again.

It’s with a heavy heart that I’m sharing the Ditka family has announced the passing of Mike Ditka this morning. Da Coach. Hall of Famer. The heartbeat of the ’85 Bears and a Super Bowl champion. Chicago won’t be the same. Prayers to Diana and the family. RIP, Coach. 🐻⬇️ Here’s a statement from the family: It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Mike Ditka. While the world knew Mike as a Hall of Fame football player, legendary coach, and leader of the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl XX championship team, we knew him as the heart of our family. Mike will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever. With love and gratitude, The Ditka Family

The Cleveland Guardians are deeply saddened by the loss of Sam McDowell. The six-time All-Star spent 11 of his 15 MLB seasons in Cleveland, and in 2006 he was inducted into Cleveland’s hall of fame. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends during this time.

11 years sober! One of the best decisions I ever made on this day in 2015. Grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way to regain control and wake up every day a better version of myself as a father, husband, and friend. For anyone out there battling, just know you’re not alone and please speak up. There is a light at the end of the tunnel 🙏🏾
