Well said on optimistic to more measured. We closed on a deal on Fri. Lender honored low 6 rate committed to in the summer. Relationships matter again as tone shifts to measured.

Won’t there still be judgement and assumption fed to SI on go forward price and projections?

Hearing differing views on driver of Microsoft's 60k people buyout offer - if an org clean-up nothingburger or if this is due to AI. Think it is a combination and it would be foolish to think increasing AI efficiencies don't play a part in confidence to do this.
Microsoft's offer of a buyout to 60,000 people shows exactly how efficient Super Intelligence is making organizations... which is ultimately a great thing. As I said on the podcast many times: headcounts will largely be frozen (or in some case +/- 10-20%) for the next couple of years, as productivity massively outpaces hiring. $msft headcount has been flat for FIVE YEARS at ~220k employees Microsoft's revenue has SURGED over those same five years, from $198B to $332B I'm guessing 6,000 people take the buyout Microsoft revenue per employee is going to double from 900k to $2M This is what I said on the podcast many times: headcounts will largely be frozen as productivity massively outpaces hiring.

Easier said than done to find these special situations on a list! Since distress owner will naturally try their best to disguise.

I bought two through this guy. Passive $7k/mo each. Worth DM’ing.

I get your point, but think switch won’t be from gas to electric driving. It will be human to self driving change of habit. Driving is fun, but inflection point will be when self-rideshare is cheaper vs. owning.

It’s not “circular”, it is “concentrated” risk.

What’s their alternative? Do nothing and fail? Betting the farm on AI feels appropriate. Have you used it?

Good debate. Wonder if MDs will always need a human bench of analysts as a catch all punching bag. Someone to iterate with SI.

I don’t think there’s a glut of compute coming anytime soon. Lots of machinery/devices/cars need to get connected to the AI grid. Requires compute to build the infrastructure too.

Ditto. I like this. Unless email is going to be a way of the past. Not seeing a better email alternate myself yet, but jw if there’s going to be a better mainstream alternative that evolves out of SI.

Value-add business plans that lean towards executing on mark to market without making “market” improvements and upkeep is a short-sighted strategy. It deteriorates the property.
